Citroën AMI Review & Drive | The Craziest EV Ever?

At the moment, it seems like EVs are coming out of nowhere, like weeds in an overgrown garden. The main problem is, most of them are far too big.
Thankfully, Citroën realises this, and has given us... the AMI! The Citroën AMI is a 100% electric ‘Urban Mobility Transport Solution’ that promises a vital part in any city.
Young motoring journalist Daniel Achterhuis headed over to Citroën UK’s head office in Coventry to try out Citroën’s latest vehicle and see if it’s any good. The short answer is, yes. It’s a bunch of fun.

"The wheels are circular" - proper in-depth reporting there :P This vid is fantastic for so many things - your obvious love for the car and the fun you're having with it, an actual press car review, seeing you actually driving it - and we did see a bit of a cheeky handbrake turn! Shame it was Coventry and not Miami but you can't have it all! Brilliant! :)

Excellent job Daniel, nicely done. Better than so many of the others in fact. Small cars are indeed good; I have a 1970 FIAT 500 and it’s a hoot. Like this Ami you can live in peace with your car, it makes people smile. Well done Citroën too, the firm has its MoJo back👍 I had a green Ami Estate back in 1978 - that puts an age on me😀 - and it was eccentric brilliance. Had a 1970’s Dyane too which was equally wonderful. Keep up the good work; a natural Presenter.

It's refreshing to see a genuine review and in depth analysis of a vehicle being spoken about for what it is clearly made for.. trips to the local supermarket and gentle drive and sightseeing.. and to be perfectly honest; on a 45mile single charge; I could quite easily get 2weeks to a full month of usage on a single charge ☺️👍 Really looking forward to seeing Citroen's PCP finance options in August 👍

I had something like this when I had a motor home it was a porta loo but the difference was mine didn’t have wheels 😆. I wouldn’t like to be involved in an accident in that 🙈. No matter what you review though I love your presentation style 👍

Very well done on this review, you've outperformed people with far more experience. I'll be picking up an Ami when they come to the UK since it's cheap for a new EV yet does everything I need. 12 mile commute on 30mph roads with 2 people, easy. For anything longer I'll get a rental car.
