Citroën SM -73, newly restored with a Merak SS-engine

Restored last winter, repainted and with a newly restored Merak SS-engine with 220 hp. Original interior in a very good lightly patinated condition. The car is originally from Spain and came to Sweden around 10 years ago.

One of my Citroen Car Club friends converted a Blue Delta SM from left to right hand drive in 1985. They had 3 RHD dashboards made up from a mould.

Always seemed a bit odd that the big valve 3.0 wasn't offered as a halo car. There was the tax issue in France but the other markets the SM was hoped to perform in liked, and didn't penalise, a fast halo model. The SS engine is also more than a top-end hero, its notably more tractable than the 2.7 at low/mid speeds.

Idle speed is way too low! Should be at least 800 rpm

Just cold, and could maybe have done with a bit more choke for a while.
