Citroën spotlights entirely new range at Paris Motor Show 2024

Driven by the launches of the C3 and C3 Aircross, Citroën is speeding up its transformation by presenting a totally renewed and electrified range on its Paris Motor Show 2024 stand.
4 new models are presented as World Premieres: the New C4 and C4 X take Citroën's C-segment saloons into another dimension, the C5 Aircross Concept unveils a family lounge with sharp design, and the Ami celebrates its 4th birthday by introducing an endearing All-New Ami.
The stand also reflects Citroën's evolving positioning as a popular, simple, human, vibrant and energetic brand. The Citroën studio will be at the heart of the show, offering a space for exchange and content creation.

I get what you mean. At the same time though, some concept cars are purely for design language inspiration. They won't always have a priduction version, and instead will have its design cues spread onto other models. Catch my drift?

I'm a big fan of CITROEN, and I'm happy to see that the brand continues to show a distinctive design within its category. Unfortunately, I'm from Brazil, where Stellantis has decided to make the brand the cheapest in the country, offering Indian models with 75CV engines and extremely spartan finishes, such as the new model presented this month, the CITROEN BASALT, and the completely outdated C3.

With a history and heritage that is almost unrivalled in the automotive world and with such a long list of exceptional, beautiful and technically innovative cars (not to mention their brilliantly idiosyncratic thinking and values as a company), it is incredibly heartbreaking to see what has become of Citroën in the last 10-15 years. And when you think they can’t possibly sink lower, move further away from what made them special, who they were and what they stood for, or that they simply cannot produce uglier and more inane cars (with a design language seemingly catering exclusively to 6-year-olds), they abandon the C42 building, close the Conservatoire, come out with that awful brand redesign, these horrendous-yet-boring new cars and decide to position the brand to compete with Dacia. The management should be put in prison for essentially destroying French cultural heritage.

These are really strong opinions for a car company that has been here since the beginning of the 20th century. I mean, I like the new logos, as they are quite literally their first one. Always a sucker for heritage. But I get why some might not like as much and that’s okay. But Citroën is still here. And their marketing has been killing it lately. Their revolution memes are hilarious.

Te doy la razón y me pregunto Que pinta Carlos Tavares ahí? ese se esta cargando esa marca, no le gusta, en alguna presentación de productos de Opel, verán a Tavares interviniendo y hablando, aquí no, es el responsable de cargársela, ese señor compro Opel por su gusto y fanatismo personal, Opel, una marca que no aporto nada de nada el Grupo PSA Citroën, ya que su plataforma, tecnología y mecánica era de General Motors, hoy día, su plataforma, tecnología y mecánica es 100x100 francesa, pero para ese señor, la marca Opel es intocable, a pesar de que aun tenia perdidas en el año 2023 y a mediados de ese año, se supone que termino con la sangría. Pero son las otras marcas del grupo, las que corren peligro, Opel no, esa tiene su posición en el grupo bien puesta y no se discute. Primero mentía con tecnología alemana y era de GM y ahora mienten con tecnología Alemana y es francesa ( claro esta, eso para los que sigan creyendo que la tecnología alemana es la mejor, yo desde luego ni de coña) Citroen tenia el mercado chino como el segundo mas importante, vendía como nunca, y Carlos Tavares se cargo sus ventas por intentar posicionar a Peugeot por encima de Citroen, hasta tal punto, que su socio Dongfeng, que se negaba rotundamente, termino hasta vendiendo la participación que tenia en el grupo y ahora tiene menos acciones, le fue tan bien las ideas de Carlos Tavares que hoy día apenas vende en china, ni citroen, ni DS ni Peugeot. Una pena lo que permiten que hagan a citroen, y todos los franceses tan tranquilos, mientras se cargan la empresa francesa que mas valora el resto del mundo, y la están transformando en nada, una pena que los franceses se queden mirando como la destruyen. La mayor noticia que hemos tenido, ha sido la sustitución de Carlos Tavares, donde nos hace creer que se jubila y como ocurrió en el grupo Renault, realmente no lo quieren al frente de la compañía. Hasta las marcas Francesas que quieren comprar los chinos, se niega a decir cual es, le fastidia reconocer, que a diferencia de el y sus gustos personales, el resto del mundo considera a Citroen o DS la que mas valor tiene, justo lo que el no supo ver. Desde que Carlos Tavares anunciara en el año 2021, el posicionamiento de Citroen como Low Cost en el grupo, Citroen no ha dejado de caer en ventas mundiales, y aunque hoy día, realmente no se consiguiera ese objetivo y gracias a dios, no sean productos Low Cost, el daño a Citroen esta hecho, esa etiqueta es difícil de quitar, y nunca entenderé, como los de arriba de Stellantis o presidentes, no se dieran cuenta antes, ahora si que se han dado cuenta con el desastre en America con sus marcas en el Pais. Pero si nos dice que los chinos quieren comprar Alfa Romeo.. Que le pasa Tavares?, SE ha dado cuenta usted, que los chinos saben el Valor de Citroen y usted no? Hasta Fiat corre peligro con el al frente, Fiat que es la marca que mas vende de ese grupo y ahora estan bajando sus ventas, justo cuando el intento degradarla debajo de OPEL. La única pena que nos queda, es la espera hasta que este señor abandone ese grupo, mi gran deseo y el de muchos. Ahí tenéis al responsable de que pongan aranceles a los coches chinos, si si, Carlos Tavares, no dejaba de pedir que pongan aranceles a lo coches chinos, por culpa de ese señor, el resto de los Europeos no podemos comprar coches, y quien se lo pueda permitir, tiene que pagarlos muy caro, y todo eso por la incapacidad e incompetencia de fabricantes Europeos que no consiguen llegar a fabricar buenos coches eléctricos a un precio razonable, justo por eso, para seguir vendiendo a precios desorbitados y obtener grandes márgenes de beneficio por unidad vendida y entorpecer a fabricantes de otros paises como china, la venta de vehículos mas equipados y con mejores calidades a un precio mas competitivo. Pero de repente, Carlos Tavares, critica lo que tanto lucho en conseguir, ahora, como ha invertido en el 21% de las acciones de Leapmotor, una empresa china, le molesta que se aplique los famosos aranceles, ya no defiende esos aranceles que tantas veces reclamo. POR FIN se libra STellantis de Carlos Tavares.

Citroen cars look great and are far from boring. Their design is distinctive, and their interiors are fresh, modern and fun to be in. I own a Citroen after some germans like Mercedes, Opel, and some korean cars, and i love it the most, it is quirky and has a very modern dashboard. I really dont understand your opinion. Honestly, you sound like a hater. I really dont get it why people like you are here, throwing stones and wasting time, instead of being on the pages/videos of the cars you like.

@@gicugigel3790 A mi tambien me gustan, pero el comentario que ese señor ha dicho, es cierto, citroen puede tener una posición dentro del grupo stellantis mas justa, ahí tiene usted el ejemplo de Opel, no aporto nada al grupo, ya que su tecnología, plataforma y mecánica eran de GM, y ahora es completamente francesa, es de las marcas que menos venden y encima tiene un lugar como imagen de marca en el grupo intocable, una marca que aun a mediados del 2023 estaba en números rojos, y mientras Opel es intocable solo por el gusto personal de Carlos Tavares, el resto de marcas corren peligro de cerrar. Desde que Carlos Tavares anunciara en 2021 su intención de posicionar a citroen como Low Cost, empezó a bajar sus ventas mundiales. de mas de un millon a 780.000 en 2023, y eso a pesar de que no se ha transformado en Low Cost, como ese señor pretendía, pero el daño a la marca esta hecho. Lo que hay que hacer es cambiar a Thierry Koskas, ese CEO se va a cargar la marca, la va a convertir en Low Cost, podemos entender que el segmento B citroen tenga cochea accesibles, su historia demostró que eran así, pero tambien tenían coches premium como GS, GSA, BX, CX etc. Ese señor ya esta planteando la nueva generación del C4 como Low Cost y hasta trasladar la producción a marruecos, ese señor es de la época de Carlos Tavares y puesto en Citroen para que Carlos Tavares se asegure de transformar la marca en una sombra de lo que es, y ha sido, sobre todo asegurar que Opel, este en mejor posición a pesar de vender menos, tener números rojos y ser fabricado con tecnología, plataforma y mecánica francesa. Aqui no se trata de beneficios, con su proyecto C- cube no están consiguiendo buenos resultados, sus ventas en paises emergentes es ridícula, por lo tanto no tiene nada que ver con ventas, tiene que ver con hundir Citroen para levantar otras marcas solo por el gusto personal del antiguo mal CEO Carlos Tavares. Auto Express: Electric cars will kill off SUVs, says Citroen CEO A year ago Vincent Cobée (CEO Citroën) said, quite rightly in my opinion, that SUVs were the wrong type of vehicle for electric drives. But why doesn't Citroen release flat aerodynamic cars? The advantage in power consumption and range would be clearly noticeable! For me, neither the vehicle concept nor the design is convincing. And as you know stelantins there is only one torsion beam rear axle. Even the 2CV and AX had independent suspension.

Les phares et les jantes de la Ami vision sont monstrueusement hideux et l'écusson la rend encore plus moche. Pour la C4 tout était presque parfait sauf encore l'écusson qui massacre toute la ligne, des gens doivent souffrir en silence au département conception. La C5 même souci, l'écusson défonce toute le ligne alors que la voiture a pourtant été plutôt bien dessinée à part les phares arrières. Arrêtez de suicider Citroën merci, c'est vraiment frustrant parce que c'était bien parti et vous ruinez tout avec quelques touches.

Citroën a perdu son lustre et sa haute technologie depuis pas mal d'années, belles peut-être mais c'est devenue de grosses bouses qui tombent régulièrement en panne qui te coute 2 fois le prix a réparer et plus le temps perdu a attendre ta voiture au garage encore, après c'est peut-être la solution hautes sphères de Stellantis pour engranger de gros bénéfices sur le dos des clients et remplir les poches des gros actionnaires et pitié le blaireau qui parle anglais comme un mec qui habite au fin fond de la campagne profonde ca fait mal aux oreilles

Apart from the Ami, everything else is available in petrol and EV versions. You have 11 years to carry on buying new petrol cars if you really want to.
