It can stop the car without using mechanical brakes at all. Or it can maintain straight-line driving at a speed of 120 km/h even if one wheel has a flat tire. It can even float on the water surface for a short time and use the vortices generated by the wheels to make the car travel on the water. This car weighs 3.5 tons, but it only takes 3.6 seconds to accelerate to 100.

Great walkaround. Dacias may not be exciting, but they offer terrific value. Just checked, Jogger Extreme Hybrid (top spec model), which is a proper 7 seater and has heated seats, wireless carplay etc. lists at £23995. Entry level Ford Puma (Ford's cheapest car) is just over £26k!

The Skoda Kodiaq looks great. Form follows function BauHaus style, no childish fake transformer style bits added of for no reason. My objection is the styling line rising to the rear window preventing children from getting a good view from the rear, and those expensive styled rear lights that could be bigger if fitted into the mud guards. I personally hate the styling lower front scoop and gaping holes in the front of modern cars. You miss cars because, "We know all about them". I am an Australian in Thailand and Laos and I have no idea what people are driving in Paris, the EU or UK, The cars on our roads are very different. This is an International KZbin transmission. I have driven at 200 kph in Australia and never needed front spoilers or rear spoilers. Low front and rear design are impractical for gutters and poor roads. The low front and rear generally look daggy.

Some clear winners in the automotive world today. Renault 👍👍👍 Dacia👍👍 BMW Neue klasse 👍👍 Audi A5 👍 Very worried about VW, Ford and Mercedes however. Not interested in one of their models.

Nice one Jim , quick off the mark I’m 13 mins in so far , nice nod to Alex , when you were on the VW stand it looked like their version of the Ford transit custom was there in blue , I saw you cover the T7 multi van California bit I think the California on this one might hopefully see a fully electric camper rather than hybrid , the Ford nugget hasn’t got a full EV version yet but I’ll be at the Motorhome show at NEC later this week to see if any or many electric campers are out yet - excellent so far thanks patric

Interesting video. Its good to see a car channel covering this instead of the usual walk & talk car reviews made at these events. You are right about SUV's they all look the same these days, they have become to big for the minor UK road network, and tend to be driven by people that cant do reverse or stay on the correct side of the road.

I grew up in Los Angeles so that was my annual Auto Show experience and it was always one of the biggest. I wonder why? Later in life I did make it to Earls Court and finally the Porte de Versailles. You must have been there on Press day because it would be impossible to get around on the Public days.

Renault are getting brilliant designs by looking back. The R5 & R4 with it's open roof. Twingo with it's super cute designs. They don't have any dodgy "Crappri" design. Peugeot are starting to look very left behind, whilst they are actually still good looking cars.

Used to go to the Paris motor show every two years between 2010 and 2016, loved visting Paris, get a cheap flight over. All stopped when most of the major manufacturers started to pull out. Might think about going again, will have to be 2026 now.

That was really good to watch. I think it says a lot about how some brands (Renault, Citroen, Alfa, BMW) are going back to their roots in an effort to combat the hoardes of Chinese clones that are/will be descending on the continent over the next few years. I think anyone can produce a reletively interesting 'machine' that gets you from A-B, but creating something with soul is a lot more difficult. Great vid - good stuff!

Hi, thank you for this amazing, well-prepared informative vid! 😃 I do know that there is a huge amount of work in it! And it is quite exhausting to be there, record it, edit it etc. I used to be a car journalist 20 yrs ago. Just got back from Paris last night, it was a great show! Just one observation: you did not show properly some amazing concept cars, however you stopped at some uninteresting cars like Skodas, VWs, Teslas etc. All of these could be seen in any showrooms...

It really comes down to the fact that I can’t afford to wait for half an hour to catch half a glimpse of a car that, realistically very few will care too much about and will get plenty of dedicated private studio coverage from the big channels. I really wanted to get the Renault 17 but it was impossible every time I visited the stand so I simply moved on. My channel has a lot of content on everyday cars so I think the video is pitched pretty well for my audience.

Nice video. I totally agree about the ID3, it just doesn't excite but that ID GTI concept looks great. Congratulations to the Hongoi Guoya for being even uglier than modern Rollers are. I was lucky enough to have the Ferrari 328 GTS from 2000-2006. People always said it was the Magnum car to me but of course as you said the 308 GTS was. I used to love it and it wasn't that bad running costs wise (some very good independent Ferrari specialists out there).

Search for some footage of the 2000 Paris Motor Show and you will see the golden age of auto shows. With the Geneva Auto Show discontinued and much of the big manufacturers choosing not to attend and rather launch new models via social media, it's clearly that the time for these kind of events is coming to an end.

I had youtube "Paris Motor Show" to find some coverage, but maybe that's because it's early. I highly doubt there's a return on investment for many brands on display here, which is partly why autoshows are slowly dying. But thanks for the video.

I said the aceman isn't the only electric mini in the line up. theirs the Mini Cooper e and Cooper se the electric 3 door mini and the mini countryman e and countryman se the electric mini suv which uses the same chassis as the bmw ix1 and ix2. now we can include the JCW variants of the aceman and Cooper se into this aswell so. (P.S. the mini countryman and Cooper you showed in the video before the JCW aceman and JCW Cooper se are the electric models of the countryman and Cooper 3 door.
