Many Thanks for this video, I had the same symptoms as you so started to look at those wires. Mine were ok. However in the junction\fuse box directly on top of the battery the 5amp fuse was a mess, I had not blown but was full of dirt and slightly oxidised. in fact it was jammed in and fell apart when I removed it Cleaned this and the others up and fitted a fresh fuse's then cleared the abs comms fault and everything is now working great. Cant believe how many brake related faults were flashing up because of this. MANY THANKS

Hi Louis, I have seen over many years in the motor trade what happens when a battery gets 'boiled', a vapor comes off of the battery gas, obviously, hydrogen & sulphuric acid not only highly explosive but the results of what you fixed with the corroded wires. When I think about the low quality of modern wire a capillary tube in effect, any moisture works it's way up the wire exactly what you are seeing there, a complete mess! You do a fantastic job & by the way, your English is very good!

Brought a Citroen Picasso mk1 very cheap but would not go into N semi gear box, garage told the girl before she sold it to me that gear box was no good 🤦‍♂( fuses ) The fuses in fuse box on top of battery were badly corroded and green, so i cleaned and a fix , 3 months later trouble with it not selecting N or the right gear again so i checked the wires like you showed but all ok , it was water on and in the fuse box after it rained, The water drain above the car front wheel was blocked so water was going in the car engine department so maybe it is moisture in wires .

I had all that 6 weeks ago and then again yesterday. Turned it off and back on and carried on like you do 😊 then out of no where when approaching a round about the brake pedal went rock hard and I couldn't stop. Edited. 6th April 2021 Hi Everyone, After trying everything that was obvious from watching endless videos about wheel sensors, Blue wires, corroded connect etc it turned out to be my front Passenger side Wheel Bearing because the Magnetic strip was faulty. I was amazed that this was giving me all the issues ie. Christmas tree lights Abs, Ecs, Auto Gearbox and more. I hope this helps and it was a pretty inexpensive part to fix compared to the warning alternatives 😬 Alan.

So garage have just called back and really don't want to play with the car anymore regarding the Christmas tree lights issue, so have seen this comment from Alan Kane on another video, so will try the suggested fixe at the weekend. Do I need to replace the wheel bearing? Does a new strip come with it?

@@stevet6409 Yes complete replacement bearing sorted it for me. It comes with a plastic cap to protect the magnetic device inside it. Don't mess about with it. Cost me about €50 in Ireland. Fitting extra.

I have the same problem. Diagbox showed the LH front ABS sensor at 255 when not connected and 0 when connected. Live data showed the other 3 sensors reading OK and zero speed on the LH Front. I cleaned the driveshaft ABS area as there was a lot of rust but still the same. Looks like I need to do the same. Is the ABS ring built in to the CV joint?

I have a c4 and everyday it gets stuck in 3rd gear. I have to turn the car off and back on to fix the problem. I’ve read where ALOT of people have this issue. I would love to know exactly how to fix it. Some people had their entire gear box replaced and it still didn’t work. Some say it’s the oil, filter, computer, etc.

Hi. I had similar issue but it turned out to be easy fix. There is little switch on your brake pedal. It gets stuck, but it is easy to take it out un take it apart. Clean well, probably use some WD40 and you are ready to go. For me it would cause the car to go into emergency position and wouldn't go to higher gears. Hope that helps.

Mine had multiple warning faults as well - wires were ok though. It turned out to be a faulty speed sensor in one of the wheels - apparently virtually all the systems (abs/esp/auto tyre pressure monitors ) use the data from these sensors - £53 for a new sensor

Why would battery leak acid? Modern batteries usually don't leak. Anyhow, I have the same problem (ABS, ESP, Handbrake, directional headlamp faults coming on all at once), have changed a few switches and sensors already, didn't help, will bring the car back to investigate further, will show this to my mechanic.

Trust me people. Clean the ABS sensor in the front wheel and the back and that would solve the problem.

@@LMAutoRepairs I have the same car, 2009 Citroen C4 grand Picasso with the same problem and I was mislead by other videos, so I cleaned transmission connectors and checked the gearstick for good contacts and fuses and so much more. Nothing worked. One time I was doing a brake job and I noticed the ABS sensor and the ring were very dirty, so I cleaned all 4, and waw!!!!, problem solved.

@aaboud123 In your case... If you have actually watched the video, you would see that no cleaning of sensores wouldn't solve the problem in this case... You can have the same symptoms caused by different issues... that's all it is... 👍

Boa tarde. Pelo menos aqui no Brasil é tarde agora kkk. Estou aqui em minha oficina com um Citroen C4 2010 2.0 câmbio automático. O mesmo parou de funcionar o câmbio, acusando incoerência na ECU, P0721 no câmbio e C1208 na Direção hidráulica. Além de avisos de defeito no ABS no painel, apesar de não apresentar nenhum código de defeito no ABS. Já conferi todos os fusíveis, relês, o relê duplo do ABS estava com defeito, foi trocado, mas o defeito persiste, assim como o Código P0721 no câmbio e C1208 na Direção Assistida. Estou conferindo toda a fiação do carro, mas até agora não encontrei o defeito. Mas acredito, após assistir ao seu vídeo, que este deva ser o caminho. Vou desmontar o cabeamento do cofre do motor, para o interior do veículo, para conferir se a fio que liga o ABS à direção assistida e de lá vai ao interior do carro, não está partido. Este C4 está me dando, como dizemos aqui no Brasil, uma verdadeira surra. Um grande abraço e parabéns pelos vídeos.

O código de defeito P0721 persiste, apesar de eu já ter revisado toda a cablagem de ABS e da direção assistida, rede CAN normal, a única coisa que encontrei, foi no conector ODB2 no pino 12 uma tensão de +12v e no pino 7, também linha K, zero volts. Mas não encontrei a razão disso. A ECU acusa "Problema Coerência Calculador Veículo" e só. O P0721 referente à caixa AL4, se refere à um sensor que esta caixa de câmbio já não possuiu, ou seja, é uma falha de informação. Ela não possui o sensor de saída de velocidade do câmbio e nem o VSS. Estou chegando à conclusão que é falha ou do Calculador do câmbio ou do motor. Um abraço.

Suspect mine is the same. Driving yesterday at 70mph abs, esp, asr lights came up but engine driving normally. Turned off motorway and went to pull away at junction and gearbox not changing gear. Wold work manually upto gear 3 though. Pulled over to safe spot and tried switching off & on and then it wouldn't start. Parking brake was going on & off, gearbox fault starting showing too. RAC called and it was showing n/s/f abs wheel sensor fault. Reset and it seemed normal. Drove off and all hell broke loose again but this time the engine also cut out. Coasted to a stop and then they called a tow. Will check this area first although have also bought a wheel sensor as its a cheap and easy to replace part. Can't see a faulty abs sensor causing all these other faults though? Can it?

Hi Not really... The ABS sensor fault it is probably a glitch due to all the other faults... Investigate that area... check also ground points etc... 👍👍👍

I had one of these before, wire was broken far from the battery near the bulkhead/firewall. Shit location but got it fixed with new section of wire and solder sleeves

Hi, I'm watching your videos which explain the problems I have with my picasso perfectly!! I've paid for a diagnostic and been told to replace my abs pump! He tried programming the suspension fault but said all these new faults are due to abs pump. I only had these problems the day I collected my car after a spring conversion!! (air bags had failed). I want to check the wiring first but I know nothing about cars (I am a nurse) could you provide a clear video on how to access and check these wires.. I'm guessing I'll need a garage to fix wiring if it seems that is the fault? I've also read it can likely be a sensor-- may explain why it has happened following the spring conversion???

I have all these faults dipslaying on the dash my mechanic says its the abs.... unit/pump? that needs replacing and that they can send it off to get reconditioned and then refit it. Total cost around £800. How likely is it that he has diagnosed it correctly and its not the wires as shown in your video. Thanks.

Hi, I have a C4 Picasso with fault warnings for ABS, ESP/ARS, hill start, parking break, tyre under inflation detection and about 50 error codes. Citroen want to charge £144 an hour to diagnose & if need to check electric & wiring that will take a lot longer than 1 hour & after they may not identify a definite fix, may go through process of elimination so can't give definite price & I don't know if it is worth spending lots trying to fix it. I've already spent money to get fault codes & the drivers side rear speed sensor has been replaced. Can you recommend best and cheapest way to get the issues resolved please? Should I go to Citroen as it's complicated or go to a local mechanic or auto electrician? Thanks

Not sure how to advise. An independent electrician should be able to scan the car and do the relevant checks and tests to find what is causing those issues. Citroën, should be able to do it as well... What exactly do you want me to say? It is up to you where to take it... 👍👍👍

Hi thanks for your reply, ESP warning light. When I turn the ignition on it stays out until I start the car then it comes on, also this car has a wiper problem there start working after about 5 minutes drivers one starts first then passenger one starts afterwards.!!

It's fixed. I clean the front two abs sensors. Since i clean the right side no lights or any other issues. Just take out the abs sensor cleaned with wd40 unplug the sensor spray with wd 40 plug again. Clean the bed of the sensor because was very rusty, i use a toothbrush to clean and the bearing magnet ring, from there sensor take the speed data. Put it back. And now week and over no issues. Hopefully that will help to somebody. My erros was start with Faulty Park Brake followed with Abs Faulty, ESP ASR and finally with Gearbox Fault. Now is okay. Thanks.

I was use cheap obd2 scan and torque pro app. Show me only pending fault from ABS. Reasons poor signal from sensors wiring abs modul... but i suggest first to give cleaning before any other things. And that give the result. :)

Today, I replace egr valve on my C4 Picasso I 2007 1.6 hdi 80/109. On diaagnostic, there is faults egr stuck when open or close, egr don't response, etc... I had two more constant faults wich have no any relations with egr valve, at least I think so (parking brake fault, esp fault)... After I replaced EGR valve, there is no any errors. How it is possible? Bad egr blocked communication with ECU or there was bad contact in some wire and when I was trying to change the valve, somehow it get good contact?

Well, not sure about the parking brake, but the egr definitely faults the ESP... I have explained on other videos the reasons... Could be that the parking brake faulted due to the faults on the esp... Systems are dependent of each other, so, if one faults, other system might not have faults, but will not fully perform and can throw warnings due to that... At least, it is how I see it... 😋 👍👍👍

Citroen the worst car I have ever had. Citroen DS3. Less than 30k on the clock and had water pump and now the abs pump at a cost of 1600 pounds. Never get a citroen again and cannot wait to get rid of it
