It's a seriously good looking car.... A French top model... so beautiful. And very comfortable. Would buy it if I had the cash. Great review, mate

Wow, thanks Ray! Chuffed with that feedback! Lot of cash alright...maybe a used one in a few years then? Thanks again.

Really enjoyed this review. Raised an eyebrow at the "cheap electricity" comment. It ain't cheap anymore - in mainland UK, anyway, I'm not sure about Ireland..?

Thanks for that feedback, Steve! Good point about the 'cheap electricity'! Suppose it's not cheap at all, but relative to running the C5X on Petrol at €1.90 per litre it is. Thanks again!

I've just sold my 18-month-old C5X 1.6 hybrid after owning it for 12 months. The depreciation has been crippling and it's value has plummeted by £12,000 over that period - I could have leased a brand new Range Rover for that. The drive comfort is wonderful and in hybrid mode it would easily achieve 90mpg. That said, the car has been really glitchy including pop-up faults with the climate control, heated driver's seat, reversing camera, auto wipers, auto lights, auto locking and electric tailgate. The weird slider thing to put it into gear (by sliding it backwards) always needs a double-check and its really easy to accidentally put it in reverse rather than drive, because its so counter-intuitive. The voice assistant is absolutely useless. Its such a shame because I was so excited to get the car and wanted to love it - but didn't.

nice and interesting looking car that is a breath of "fresh air" compared to other "confection" of germanized D segment (or what's left of it) vehicles and ever more dominant SUV "plague"... I've been able to ride in it, and it is a nice place to be in with extremely comfortable ride without of wobbling all over the place! to be fair, I haven't played much with its infotainment screen but since its interface is very customizable to your personal needs and preference, I DEFINITELY wouldn't say it "just didn't get overt the line in terms of usability and intuitiveness".... just configure the damn thing to display things you prefer... it's not hard, enter settings and click on customization and customize the touchscreen display to whatever you want/need on it.... and you can do the same with driver display and if I'm not mistaken, to some extent even with head-up display....

Thanks for the comment Mirko. You make really good points there. I take your point on the customisation, that is a help for sure...but I also stand by my point about the UI. It's not the Citroën's finest feature! Thanks again!

Not another review of the hybrid version! Only the hybrids have adaptive suspension as standard. It is not even available as an option on the other versions, which do not ride as well.

We had the hybrid and we clearly labelled the thumbnail with 'PHEV'. We don't see the problem here Victor. But thank you for taking the time to comment, it's always good to get feedback and learn.

You had me until the price … sub 50k for this??

In Ireland, it ranges from late €30,000 up to around mid 50s for a nicely specced model. Thanks for the comment Anu!

It's a big D-segment flagship PHEV with all the bells and whistles (adaptive suspension, 360 camera, HUD etc.). Poor people are not the target group here
