Great video and just what I need. Btw I did this job on my other car today and in that video I was told to leave one of the hoses off so that when pumped diesel would come out - at which point I know it is primed. Will do my Citroen tomorrow !

Thanks for watching and commenting buddy! 😊 you could leave a pipe of but there is a chance that there will be a mess of diesel. You will know when it’s primed as the the plunger will feel hard. These aren’t difficult to bleed / prime. Andy👨🏼🔧

The switch in the middle which way should it face and how do you adjust it
@AMSVauxhall4 жыл бұрын
sonic hedgehog the switch in the middle isn’t used but you can see at the start the direction it faces. A half turn will release it.

I`m having a little trouble removing the white retainer as yet nothing appears to be broken, I lifted the white middle bit and pushed down on the outer bits but it did not release the pipe. Will try again tomorrow carefully

Would this be exactly the same for a bluehdi?
@AMSVauxhall3 жыл бұрын
Ian Ellis I couldn’t say buddy, I’ve not seen a blueHDI model yet but if the engine bay / filter looks identical to this, then yes the procedure will be much the same Andy

hey, just wanted ask what is the first pipe you took off with white tab, the white tab on mine is broken and the fuel filiter plastic that inserts itself into the pipe is broken and stuck in the pipe.
@AMSVauxhall2 жыл бұрын
The first pipe is the return line to the tank buddy Andy👨🏼🔧
@ESSA202 жыл бұрын
@AMS Vauxhall cheers mate, I definitely need to change the fuel filiter housing but I'm not sure what to with the pipe with the Partially broken white tab/clip it was holding onto the fuel filter. I'm going to try and take the broken piece out of the pipe amd reinsert it to see if it locks. If it does than I should be okay, if it doesn't, doni need tk buy the full harness of pipes or can I replace the damged pipe or connector? P.s Andy would this cause the car not to start, I tried to glue it back and start the car but it was only ticking over.
@AMSVauxhall2 жыл бұрын
@@ESSA20 shouldn’t stop it starting as it’s just the return but it will obviously leak diesel when engine running. The clips are very brittle and easy broken if not removed carefully. I would imagine it will be a replacement line if needed but it may join under the car if you are lucky rather than straight back to the tank 🤞🏻
