Thanks for the video David. I have one question. When you removed the wishbone - how were you suspending the vehicle, besides the jack on the jacking point? Where were you placing an axle stand precisely as your back up? I normally put an axle stand under the lowest wishbone nut, but obviously cannot do that if I want to remove it to replace bushings. Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi, I normally put the jack under the jacking point, and an axle stand under the cill, chocks under the rear wheels and if I remember put the tyre under the cill also in case the jack fails. I have done it this way for years, but it probably isn’t best practice these days to rely on the cills, especially when the jack is as old as me!

@@davidamioffgrid Thanks David. No the sill is not best practise indeed. I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You are risking serious or fatal injury or van damage if your main jack fails. I’d also invest in good quality axle stands at least 3t each.
