City of Barstow, California

In the northern part of the High Desert at the crossroads of Interstates 40 & 15 and state highways 58 & 247 is the city of Barstow. The reason for this video is to get business to expand or grow in Barstow and you guys are trash talking the place a little FYI it's not different anywhere else there drugs and everything else everywhere you go Barstow is just small so it's more visible and talking trash gets you nowhere doing something like cleaning up your community does so stop trashing Barstow and start cleaning it up or move nobody is making you live there.

Barstow sucks. I'm stuck in this God Forsaken town and am hoping to get a job in a better state or at least a better city. I'd be happy to abandon my home, it would just fit in with the others around me. This video may have some stretched truths to it, but it is definitely not the picture town they have tried to paint. They left out the high crime, the liquor stores nearly every 3 blocks, and the lack of jobs in town. Ft. Irwin NTC is 40 miles away. Basically don't buy into the hype. As for tho

Furthermore this town is drug infested and 2/3 of it's population is on some form of Government assistance. Leaving only 1/3 of the population to work...and there aren't even enough jobs to support that number. That's why so many people drive to Ft. Irwin 40 miles, Victorville/Applevalley 30 miles, Hesperia 38 miles, or drive down the Cajon pass 60-80 miles away.

Best thing about Barstow was Ruby's...My hood friend was murdered here. It's small & cheap with nothing to do! Barstow CC is a great school though

"Come for the lies,stay for the drugs and gang violence!" This place is sad. The amount of messed up stuff Ive seen at that Wal-Mart, not to mention the rest of Barstow.... The crime rate is higher than Compton's, and theres bums on virtually every corner. Those houses they claim to have built don't even exist. And trust me, absolutely no one calls it the "Crossroads of Opportunity."

was the meth that killed it, i grew up there, at that time it was basically normal, but that was 25 or 30 years ago, i havent been there in at least 15 years, it was gettin miserable then, sometimes i think about going there to take a look around, but maybe that would just tarnish my memories
