According to the rules, in order to create a new draw pile, you have to flip the cards from the discards over to become the new draw pile, so the card that you discarded first will be the card you draw first. The only time you can put the cards any way you like is when first starting the game. Otherwise, nice review, and looking forward to getting an opportunity to play my copy.

Better than Yedo? I am going to have to look for a copy!

One game I just received (though the next edition is supposed to be released next month) that has excellent worker placement mechanics is Yedo. Look up Tom's review of it, and I think you'll be intrigued. As for the others you've mentioned, I've only played Agricola, and I enjoy it a lot. I didn't think I would because of the bland theme, but it's actually a very well-designed game.

Tom, I am looking to get into the "eurogame" scene. Up until this point I had thought that worker placement games were the most appealing to me; I had narrowed it down to Agricola and T'zolkin (and possibly Trajan). Have you played T'zolkin? That game seems very interesting to me, with the gear mechanic. Having said that, this game looks interesting as well. Do you have any recommendation for someone that is new-ish to the hobby? Thanks a lot! Love the videos!

Tom, last I heard, whenever one game goes onto your shelf, it has to replace something else. It would be interesting to know what game got replaced.

To be fair though, some folks listen to the video and don't watch it while they may be somewhere that it doesn't behoove them to be seen watching videos. :)

I completely agree that the special abilities are not balanced. Humans get the worst, while the toad men is so circumstantial that in order to make it work you really have to commit to a particular strat.
