The Plaid Hat guys are great. Mice and Mystics far exceeded my expectations, so I'm optimistic about City of Remnants. I'm also looking forward to Rodney's play-through at WatchItPlayed.

I'm just now starting this review. I hope it's in the positive. I -love- Plaid Hat Games and want everything they do to be awesome. Not to mention I already preordered as soon as I heard they were making a new game... >_>

i would love to buy this game, but it is currently $65 on their website. That's pretty steep for me for a board game.

Looks like a cross between Skyline 3000 and Summoner Wars with a little RFTG and Tigris and Euphrates thrown in for good measure. I will try it and I'm open to being awesome (since Plaid Hat is AWESOME), but it just looks like a mess to me.

[cont] constantly pour troops in. Also the police, while scary for someone who didn't play the game at all, is easily dealt with if you just avoid some of the spots until you have enough troops on the board (and that is easily done) At some point you can simply auto kill almost all the aliens without rolling dice because of the many dice you would inflict anyway. Also the theme part of the game has no bearing, it could as easily have been elves that grow mushrooms and still be the same thing.

I am sorry, but I have to ask what game he actually played. I played this game in 2 and 3 players. I have found from the first try when playing with yellow an exploit for infinite money that you could discard cards and then reshuffle your discard in your hand and then redraw cards. You just needed 1-2 cards from the market. Moreover... the interaction between the players is minimal. If someone attacks you, they lost the game because for you to defend is much easier than for them to [cont,,,]
