I used to drink beer (or vodka) on a regular basis, but then I dated someone for about a year who didn't drink alcohol, so I just sort of stopped drinking for that year, and then I never went back to it. I don't miss it at all, and I've never had a craving or a desire to since. I have a feeling that you'll feel exactly the same way. Thanks for another great video of Japan, and Happy Anniversary!!

Congratulations, and happy anniversary. I've been through both Nagoya JR and Kintetsu station dozens of times, but rarely ventured far beyond. I do remember causing a slight stir in a restaurant in one of the towers though: apparently they were not used to westerners who can use chopsticks and the kitchen staff came out to see. After watching your videos I reckon you're more at risk from some of that highly unpredictable traffic than any bugs that may be going about.

Hi two wheel cruise, the name of the donut store got edited out. I love Mr. Donut with its light fluffy donuts. I assume that is the donut shop you were referring too. My favorite is Angel Cream. The tracks near me make so much noise I get nervous under them. The tracks are way lower and damn they are loud. As a former bodyguard first responder, I guess I can say it's one of the few things that I get a scared feeling from. Very nice footage. I am wondering if Japan had Alcoholics Anonymous or A.A. They are very good meetings to go to even if you don't have a drinking problem.

Coronavirus is one of the reasons I recommend cycling to my friends, mostly to avoid the cramped trains and busses. Unfortunately, it started snowing here in Estonia again so cycling isn't the easiest if you don't have a bike capable of using MTB wheels.

I would love to watch what kind of gear (shimano, sram...) you prefer on MTB and road bike? Do you like high end gear or are you satisfied with whatever gear the store gives you? There are many different combination of gear with same name and different version that is insane...Your buyers guide :) i am looking into hardtail MTB around 1k€ and i am confused....also want to get one for my wife and eventualy my kid :D
@TwoWheelCruise5 жыл бұрын
Depends on where you live. I used to like SRAM when I lived in the US, but it's an expensive pain in Japan and SHIMANO is much cheaper and easy to get. Both work fine for the most part, so depends on what you're looking for. I usually prefer mid-performance level like Ultegra/Rival, but modern 105 seems legit
@Bladewarr5 жыл бұрын
Europe. Slovenia. I also prefer mid-performance gear. I rode my last MTB bike aprox. 10+ years and is stil ok with full Deore gear. Now with new bikes i am confused. There are different types of random gear equiped. Example: Scott scale 960 2020, 1200$ Drivetrain: SRAM NX Eagle 12 Speed (rear) / SRAM SX Eagle Trigger / 12-speed. So the question is would you go full NX (Deore or XT) no matter the cost? Sorry i think i am complicating but it seems that for the price its should be full NX gear and the shop is overpriced? I love your videos and your thoughts on stuff. Thank you :)
@TwoWheelCruise5 жыл бұрын
I think NX is worth the upgrade for the durability. But I still prefer a 2x

Are you able to bike ride long distance in casual clothes or do you prefer cycling clothes especially padded pants? I've been commuting by bike in jeans and casual clothes to the office for many years although my trip is around 8-10 miles one way usually and I wonder if it is recommended to buy cycling pants with the pads for really long distance bike trips such as for 20+ miles? My bike saddle on all my bikes have very thin padding and I sometimes but not always, have to scoot my bum around the saddle after several minutes into the ride. Sometimes, I'll feel some hot spots and other times, I feel the boney part of my rear soar from sitting in the hard saddle. Does Japan media hype the corona virus news? I know USA media loves to hype it up to get the views or clicks which as a consequences cause societal panic. There's already people hording supplies and clearing the shelves at markets so when others really need it, they can't get access to it. What a society we live in. I just recently started hearing news that my local markets and Costco have pallets of rice and bottled water cleared out pretty quickly. I blame the media for hyping it especially in the age of the internet which accurate and misinformed information travels and is received instantly. D:
@TwoWheelCruise5 жыл бұрын
Yes, we are able to ride a fair distance in normal clothes with no problems, but definitely prefer cycling clothes if we know it will be longer than an hour or so. Our Taiwan Toroko Gorge ride pushed our limits a bit for riding in normal clothes and sandals haha. It's not just the long distance, but if there is a lot of repetition (like riding everyday) the pads can help a TON. Regular clothes have more friction and more friction can lead to more irritation. You can adapt to it to a certain extent, but I think your bum would appreciate switching to cycling shorts as often as you can. Yes, the coronavirus news has gotten pretty intense lately. Thuong went to film a video at the supermarket at opening time this morning and will be uploading it to her walking channel soon. All the rice and toilet paper was cleared out in the first few minutes.
@shezpluscats5 жыл бұрын
It is crazy the amount of news about it here. That said though, it’s definitely a be smart about it sort of thing. I’m only slightly more on edge because even though I’m in that demographic that is more likely to recover if caught, I have autoimmune issues that make me more susceptible to catching and suffering from it. So yeah, not in panic mode but slightly worried. Am in an area though where if it does spread to here, would likely not see it until mid to late March. For commuting in normal clothes, you can look for a liner short that are basically padded cycling shorts you can wear under street clothes. It’s thinner than normal cycling shorts (basically underwear with a chamois). When I do the occasional costume ride for whatever event, I wear one.
@johnnydwicked5 жыл бұрын
@@TwoWheelCruise I also heard of such reports from Japan Travel channel which the shelves in markets were cleared but jokingly said that it was due to school being canceled and parents need to make more food at home for their kids because they originally thought the kids were supposed to eat at school. xD But anyways, stay safe and healthy. :)
