A couple of things: 1. Concordia's acceptance rate of 78% makes it the 10th easiest Canadian university to get into. Average accepted GPA: 2.5. McGill for example is Canada's third hardest Uni to get into with a 52% acceptance rate. 2. Concordia University, along with Memorial University of Newfoundland, has one of the highest international student populations among Canadian universities. It is considered a lightly selective school but still ranks fairly well as an institution on the international scale.

Anyone who thinks that going to trades school is better than university needs a reality check. You also need to have a minimum of bachelors degree to work in most countries abroad. A lot of trade jobs have a High unemployment rate, due to the seasonal contract work nature of the job. With a trade job you will have a very short term career. When your body gives out the older you get it's difficult to land a job in trades. It's high stress on the body, sometimes long hours with little reward. Having a bachelor's degree and blue collar job is still the best way to go in the long term. Hours might be long and it requires more mental work but you still will have permanent stable job, salary and benefits with a a decent retirement savings plan.. it's also less straining on the body which means you can continue to work well into your 40s, 50s and 60s.
