Sorry but I collect them!😂. I even know the make and model of the ones at my scholl, local walmart, and other places. Search up "Wheelock 7002t fire alarm and you should see an old red square with a strobe on top that is a frosted strobe ;popular strobe case before transparent, and it is a zenon gas bulb and see some videos of how they sound. Sound comes from the strobe capacitor charging and discharging, and on discharge, it draws a bell of a lot of current from the horn causing the stutter in the alarms sound

My father in law had a carbon monoxide detector that he hasn’t changed batteries in or tested in at least as long as I’ve been here (abt 4yrs) and went off one day while I was here alone and not only did he laugh at me he said “it just does that sometimes, it’s nothing” like what.
