Great walk today H. Loved living on the North side hill as a kid. You walked past the house I lived in. Its looking a bit run down needs more love and upkeep.Also lots of development since I was there. One thing I didn't hear on your walk that you would hear all day long when I lived there as a kid is the sound of the ( bird ) Western Medow Lark . What a great sound. Jeff

There is a wide area of steep slopes leading down the residential areas. I just wonder if there are sometimes heavy rains that cause the river to overflow and flood some houses.

That has certainly been an issue in the past. But it hasn’t been a problem for a decade or so. In 1997 they had a big flood the damaged a lot of houses. - H
