The problem with this timelapse is that the civs on the right side of the map were doomed from the beginning. The tiles on the right side of the map were better in every possible way. This is evident when you look at the capital cities. at 5:53 in the video, Delhi had a population of 20, Washington had a population of 19, and Amersterdam had a population of 24. Then you look at cities on the right side such as Gao, which had a population of 13. Note that this city had not been captured yet in the video so losing population due to that was not a factor. This population means that the civs on the left have a higher production, science, and culture rate that those on the right. Overall, this was a one-sided match. Not that it wasn't good. It was fun to watch, but I wasnt surprised by the outcome.
@gigastrike26 жыл бұрын
Greg Savitt The grassland nations had the largest population by a long shot the entire time, but they didn't expand. I'd assume the higher population actually prevented each of them from conquering the others, leading to the more vulnerable nations being the ones who began to snowball and overpower them.

I thought England, Assyria, America or Denmark would win due to their ideal locations, but Denmark had problems with aggressive civilization early on, England had problem getting enough space to build units that could capture towns and Assyria had a good start, but found no more expansion posibilities. America won due to Chinas hopeless war against Gandhi. China should have destroyed America before moving on against Gandhi or other civ.

America made a big comeback. It looked like the minutemen weren’t going to be enough to stop China but India declaring war on China allowed them to peace out, rebuild and then defeat a China that had been worn down fighting India and then they snowballed by eating the weaker right side of the map and the quality of their tiles really made its presence felt with higher tech and production.
@javierpowell47056 жыл бұрын
American Victory was assured once they won the first American-Chinese war which had given it access to another Biome sector, eventually leading to the capture of cities in said area, Allowing America to have enough resources to combat the Chinese again, uniting their own Biome sector, sealing their win for the most part. America snowballed pretty hard after that.

@braintumor41946 жыл бұрын
Well, yes but you didn't completely wipe out the British and took over their cities like the US did in this video, you just kind of broke off from one of their colonies.
@braintumor41946 жыл бұрын
You didn't really defeat Japan, you just nuked a bunch of their cities and sunk some ships, plus Japan wasn't even near being a Superpower. As for Spain, I can't even recall a single battle between you unless you mean some colonial skirmishes which I wouldn't call a "Clash of Superpowers". Germany... ehhh... World War 2, yes you managed to reach Berlin but by the time you reached it, most of Germany's armies were wiped out by the USSR and harsh weather during operation Barbarossa, and when you reached Berlin, France, UK and the USSR were invading the city at the same time, hence Germany was split into four by those nations. In WW1 USA provided the allies with natural resources which, yes, were very much needed at the time, so their contribution was quite big, just like in WW2, not saying it was not, however, the defeat of Germany ended without the intervention of USA. I'm not daying it was not helpful, because the trade deals definitely helped the allies. The US troops that fought in Germany during WW1 were also armed with French weaponry and there wasn't many of them. They were actually referred to as "morale support" rather than actual help by the French. I already explained the British part in my other comment.

Unless you consider the nuclear subs the most powerful. which the UK only has 215 Nukes, which is not enough to destroy the whole US, the US has 3,822 nukes, half deployed half in storage, which is enough to completely destroy the UK a hundred times. not that it would ever come to that, or that I would want it to, but there are much more differences then just size.
