It would be cool to see more of these also I believe that if you turn on the setting for that map called historical city naming or something so if you had that while Rome conquered Istanbul it could have renamed it to Constantinople but at the same time it is wired because with forward settled cities you can’t tell if they conquered of settled that city

This is fun. I love your play-by-play. England surprised me. I thought they would be crap (like Scotland) but they are actually decent. Maya also exceeded my expectations but they have limited city sites. Mali has been my biggest disappointment but they could still turn it around. I think science and diplomatic are the only viable victory types but I think it is too soon to predict a winner. There is still a lot of land to settle.

I played this with a somewhat similar civ setup (Europe is a little different) but I played with Alexander and stomped Russia right from the start bc they built no units, which was weird for the difficulty I was on (diety). Then I proceeded to abuse Rome and Germany with my OP upgraded units and a golden age. I ended up Killing Rome and letting Germany live bc I already destroyed their game. It started to get hard bc Nubia was a pain and declared war on me after that but it all worked out (Nubia killed off Saladin and took a city state near me, like TF)... Funny thing is Persia was still friendly with me and actually helped with Nubia. The moral of the story, never let Trajan and Peter live or have a good start.
