In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing using a mod that gives us a new leader to play with in Civilization Six!
Today we’ll be returning to one of Civ 5’s most loved leaders, Boudica of the Iceni! She used to run the Celts, now she runs the Britons, but she is still a talent with woods and has a unique holy site to boot!

Actually, I think you could put the holy sites adjacent to one another since the woods feature isn't removed, much like Vietnam. You could theoretically get a +7 (or +14 with the double faith policy) with a holy site triangle.

This game is a good example of why I rate Work Ethic over Feed the World. Yes, the later is stronger in the late game, but Civ is a snowball game and the sooner you get your cities productive the sooner they start adding to your empire rather than being drains on it.

Feed the world does have a bit of a lead in, but admittedly the reliable adjacency on this game meant WE was very, very good!

When I played Boudica I ran across a glitch. I am sure it was a game glitch, not a mod glitch. I converted another civ to her religion. They declared a religious emergency. There was a missionary from somewhere else, with almost no hit points, destroyed an inquisitor and 2 apostles in my own land. The holy city was the only one left with the faith. It was fun trying to get all that back with an immortal missionary wandering around. Luckily, after the emergency, he wandered away.

I wonder how can those religious missioners convert an undersiege city. Like standing before the wall and yell 'pray to my God' ?? Or use trebuchet to launch the Holy books into the city ?? Or summoning lighting and other magical stuff to amaze the defence force???

@@UrsaRyan still not quite my thing don’t get me wrong I love production but still there are definitely better districts(of course you have work ethic but most of the time I just get one of the last religions if at all so I go zen meditation just so I don’t have to build holy sites ps I always go Shinto and if it’s already taken my prophet just sits around for the game)

I am genuinely wondering if ursa ever actively used Liang with her "stuff wont get destroyed by natural occourences"-Promotion. If so, it has to be months ago. Especially recently there were so many moments where i was praying for him to use it. Now i am looking at the vulkano and im literally crying

with the druids you could also make your faith into production. plant woods, chop woods. repeat. the druid does not even get more expensive, so it is a net positive win.

I must say that this must be one of the most gorgeous leader model of a Civ leader. However did the model in this mod did it really well. She looks like someone you want to hang out but on the same time someone you should be afraid of. 😅 A person that is best as friend rather then enemy. I should also say that I, as a Swede as never heard of Boudica until now. So I have no backstory of who she was and what made her famous.
