Civ 6 | Huge Earth TSL With The USA - Rough Rider Time!!! #1 - (Deity TSL America Civilization VI)

In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing our favourite TSL USA earth map as the USA - one of my favourite Civilization VI games so far!
The USA are a lot of fun to play with but we’ll have a lot of company on our home continent to content with - luckily for us, Rough Rider Teddy has one or two tricks up his sleeve to deal with this sort of thing..!

I just did a huge TSL game as Teddy. I wanted it to be relaxed so I put the difficulty on Immortal instead of Deity, but then when I spawned into the game I realized I wasn't just alone in North America, I was alone in my hemisphere! South America was totally empty as well! I settled all of North/South America and found Australia was empty too, so I settled 3 full continents by the end of it. I settled so many cities that game that I ran out of not just American names, but Brazilian names too. My last several cities had German names. It was absolutely insane.

Was that a Deity game? How did you go? Did you win?

@@tarikay93 No, I had it on Immortal to make it a relaxed game, and then loaded in and found out it would have been easy anyway. I absolutely won. I had 112 cities by the end. I was using a mod that adds a policy card to eliminate your tourism so you can avoid a culture victory for a while if you want. When I took the card out late in the game, the timer went to 2 turns on a culture victory, but the game bugged out and started showing that I had negative tourists. So I just finished the game off by going to space instead. I was so absurdly ahead that it still wasn't even close.

Hey Ryan another suggestion, since Europe gets crowded, I personally like to unclick every other European civ so that it lowers the chance of a packed Europe of potentially super weak civs. It also helps fills the rest of the map out. Get luck riding roughly!

Probably deselect Gilgamesh aswell, his start is so close to Cyrus that they can't both settle turn 1 iirc, and the ai doesn't know how to handle having only dessert floodplains and no hammers

@@ForeverTheSickGamer ooo good point that area can have a ton of people all right next to each other (Egypt, Sumerian,Persia,ottoman,Scythian,nubia) maybe randomly deselecting 2-3 of those guys would also fix that area)

@@ForeverTheSickGamer babylon is near persia and gilgamesh too, same for kongo and zulu (not that close), arabia and egypt, nubia and ethiopia and more

@@janusz3454 I don't typically find Nubia+Egypt+Kongo to be bad, but I don't play on Diety so that could change matters. If Zulu and Mali and Dido all spawned it'd be very crowded in africa, but running 20 civs that's pretty unlikely. As for Babylon, I havent done too many tsl with them in it, but they're a bit further away from cyrus, but yes, I do think Babylon and Gilgamesh (and Akkad city state) should be mutually exclusive with eachother, but I think Gil's the only one worth blacklisting since he has the most and most severe potential overlaps.

I JUST got to download the persona packs for Civ and had my first bullmoose game. I bought each DLC separately instead of the season pass and thought I'd missed out on them, but found a work around on steam. Such a fun Civ to play!

@@PaladinElliott Go to the anthology edition, add the two packs to your cart. If you try to check out normally with them you get an error message, but if you add another game the "purchase" for the free persona packs goes through. At least it did for me. I already owned all of the paid content for the anthology edition so they went into my cart for free.

I don't think canada forces you to accept their requests for promises, you should still have a third option to ignore them by pressing escape.

I always forget that, very true - not sure what the diplomatic consequences of hitting escape are though?

Is this a special downloaded map? How do you get it? It doesn't appear to be the same as the Huge TSL map on the game.

yep it's a mod - we keep full lists on discord if you ever need them but it's called Yet Not Another Map Pack

We keep a list of the fixes and mods on Discord but it's called Prismatic if you haven't found it already - it stops this graphical glitch

The fact that TSL America is such a crap start suggests that, while a great game, Civ6 rewards much different terrain than recent history has. My guess is the emphasis on production over food. I mean, a nearly empty continent with plenty of fresh water and most of the 57 civs needing to travel across an ocean to attack. American / Canada / Cree / Aztecs should dominate every TSL game.

it's very true - I've always wondered why flat tiles don't get a boost to food - always seemed a bit unbalanced
