Emperor and above Aztecs are one of immediate threats as a neighbor(Like Zulus or Mongolia) since it's AI is aggressive by default and it's a strong early military power. @@VeylonTrue, but the unit wouldn't be able to move in a straight line. They'd always be zigzagging towards their destination which, to me, is visually unsatisfying. And you'd still have to have sections of the map where the triangles break away from their regular pattern (where the pentagons would be in a hexagonal tessellation). I suppose another option would be to remove the grid altogether and have it so that units just travel a set distance in any direction per turn (adjusted for terrain, unit speed, etc...).

The far bigger issue will be hurricanes, due to the direct impact higher temperatures have. It means more energy in the athmosphere, it means more evaporation of ocean water and both mean more and bigger hurricanes are to be expected. Not to mention rising sea-levels also affect all of the coasts of the USA. So the USA is not safe from climate change either. It's just ignorant.

Important to keep in mind that the US is REALLY BIG compared to most countries, so in many things we will have "more" of something, but not necessarily more than should be expected given the difference in size. Scale matters!

We think it finally makes the game feel complete, because it adds a sense of PvE and consequences to your actions that wasn't there before.

I think it's good, but the consequences of global warming disproportionately affect the players not contributing to it, as the people who have the infrastructure for factorys usually have the infrastructure to mitigate the effects. This has caused people to utilize the effects as a weapon, rather than as a consequence
