For the wheels, an iron reactor is a game changer. I tend to spray that on the wheel, agitate with a brush and then pressure wash off. They come up like new and it’s very satisfying watching the wheels turn purple

Just as a preventative so your rear arches don’t rust, it might be worth removing the carpet liners out of the wheel arch. As they soak up water and the rot the bodywork. Other than that a great video and can’t wait to see what else happens to the car. Keep it up 👌

Don't wash your wheels first, go top down so 1. If you wash your wheels first all the dirt from the rest of the car is going to run down onto them and 2. If you're using the same mit/sponge then you're getting it dirty and gritty and then going onto bodywork.

Well on for washing your own car!! I miss my ep2 as I couldn’t insurance for an ep3 when I was 19 (or the cheapest quote I had for an ep3 was £5000 😢) A wee tip, wear gloves to protect your skin from the chemicals that’s in car cleaning products. Learned from my mistake 🫣

one thing i used to like about having a silver car was how clean and shiny it looked after a wash, even a basic spray job. i have a black car currently that cleans up well, but it isnt a patch on a silver car. does look like a sweet type R more so now

Don’t forget your door shuts and sills but your car looks 👌 well done, l clean my car the old fashioned way, cold since to remove dust etc, then hot soapy wash and wax, cold rinse, then a hot rinse and finally a leathering, after this l go over it again with a damp leather and buff it up with a soft cloth before waxing it , then a final polish, l am 68 years old and old habits die hard 😊

I think you did a great job 👍🏻 The only advice I'd give is do the wheels last as it saves changing the water in the bucket, as you would be putting dirty water back on the car if you didn't. Apart from that spot on, always clean your car as you get to know every panel if a scratch or dent shows up you can sort it out ✅️

Wheels first is how I do it - they’re usually the dirtiest area so it saves the clean paintwork from getting dirty from the overspray. Also if you have spots of hard dirt, that could flick up and damage the body.

@@VEXT666 fair enough, that applies to those who do wheels separately. I clean the wheels first with the hard brushes/detailing brushes. Then on the contact wash I use a different mitt at the end to wash the wheels with my ‘hand’ so to speak
