Excellent, Excellent, Excellent, Shelby. Thanks for speaking out about this isse. Timely. I might add, a core component of Civility is "Dignity". Or, rather, respecting the Dignity of others, and treating others with Dignity. I would say that today we not only have diminished Civility, we also have diminished Dignity. And I capitalized those words because they deserve caps.

Not to be uncivil -- I'm disappointed with the lack of specifics here. Nice stories as far as they go but it doesn't help me understand what civility means in general, and how to apply it in different situations besides opening doors for people.

Seems like we need civility even more these days. (ESPECIALLY after 4 years of Donald Trump). Another talk with more stories and specific descriptions of civility -- and uncivility -- would be good.
