My ideas for the Civilization team are the following: 1- To add a “choose your Leader" option, in which the development team are capable of making a Leaders package in which each nation is granted a series of leaders you can pick from not to be identified just by a default historical character, but to be able to choose from other historical leaders that may be distributed by that package. Each leader would grant an specific boost alongside new units or buildings to help balancing the experience. I'll give you an example: If you choose Germany before starting a whole match, you can choose between Otto Von Birsmarck, Frederick Barbarossa or Kaiser Wilhem II If you choose Rome as faction you could pick from Julius Caesar, Augustus (Octavius) or even Marcus Aurelius. If you choose Spain you can choose between Charles First of Spain also known as Charles V (Carlos V), The Cid (Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar), Felipe II and the Catholic Kings like Isabel. 2- The Development team of Civilization VI could add a new DLC or package to create a Good vs Evil mode in which certain nations would be able to developt their own culture and religious institutions in order to be ready to fight other nations that would be guided by the secret cults such as the Hermetic Brotherhood, or occultist/esoteric factions. For an example, you could developt a Roman Catholic Empire, agaisnt a Hermetic or Mythras cultist nation and in the end a group of factions from one side or another would fight either to save the world and restore peace, or to doom it and destroy it. 3- Please development team, consider the following new factions for your next New Frontiers DLC package. a) Kingdom of Jerusalem, with crusader leaders and crusading kings b) Kingdom of Romanía with Vlad Tepes as its leader c) Kingdom of Franks or Carolingian Empire with Charlemagne as its leader d) Kingdom of Hungary with Sigismund of Luxembourg e) The Ottomam Empire with Suleiman the Magnificent f) The Freemasorny Confederation, a faction that would try to conquer the world with the use of agents and spies. g) The Roman Catholic Church with the Vatican as its main City and with the quest to comquer the world by spreading the faith.

@@mikecharnecke3087 it's a lyric from a song that talks about how Istanbul and Constantinople are the same city and how the name was changed. If you're adding Basil II, then add the Bulgarians. Not just a player can earn him his nickname (it'd be cool that when a Byzantine player destroys a Bulgarian player, the nickname is permanently added to Basil II's name), but also because the Bulgarians were one of the major balkan civilizations.

Holy.....Yeah this civ sounds really strong. Extra great prophet points from Holy Sites = Easier time founding religion and extra faith after Great Prophet is recruited. +3 combat and religious strength for EACH holy converted and religious pressure for beating enemy units in combat means easier religion spread AND up to +15 combat/religious strength to all units! Two unique units, both of which look strong in their own right. I’m particularly intrigued by the unique Quadrireme because that units usual weakness is it only has 1 range. Giving it 2 range is huuuuge. Capturing coastal cities will be super easy with these. Light and Heavy Cavalry units do full damage to converted cities. This class of units is actually really good in warfare again (for Byzantium at least). Finally, the Hippodrome gives a free unit for being built AND every building being built.....this is crazy. Once you get to mid game and later. This Civ sounds.....crazy good.

its actually stupid that basil is white while tamar and suleiman are really dark in the game. but in reality, they were most likely the same in terms of looks. devs probably looked at things from cultural barrier. even in that case, byzantines were very oriental and unique. constantinople steam achievement also shows the illiteracy. turks used the same name for another 450+ years. stimpol/istanbul is another greek word which was used by all citizens naturally in 19th century similarly how people dropped latin. official name changed from constantinople in 20th century based on that and only to put distance from ottomans by the republic. changing the cities name has nothing to do with ottomans.

Byzantium is basically Rome with Greek culture. Everything they did (writings, traditions, names etc) was influenced by Greek culture, which is weird. I like the small reference at the end of the vid sayings "You can't go back to Constantinople" saying that is lost forever (since it's called Instabul now). The weird thing is that even though Byzantium was Roman, the Greeks are the ones that want Constantinople back.

Now we just need a game mode where you can only build your unique unit in a tree, but they get stronger when reaching the next tier of unit. Example, montezuma always has their eagle warriors as their melee class, but again combat strength when you "upgrade" them to swordsman, and so on. You still can make archers, a navy, etc, but your melee tree is always going to be eagle warriors that get steadily stronger, as though they were upgrading.
@novaimperialis4 жыл бұрын
Well, technically, Byzantium did not wage any holly wars since they were more of a reconquest cassus belli than anything else. Byzantium was actually a pretty defensive heavy civ. And, also, wars were declared by the emperor and the state. Not by the Church!

Why are you pronouncing the "e" in "hippodrome"? It's an English word, the "e" just indicates the "o" is a diphthong. If you want to pronounce it like it's foreign, it would be "hippodromos". Also, while I am at it, the word stress in "Byzantium" is on the second syllable... That said, this guy would be amazing if you're going for religious victory, and pretty meh for anything else.

The only positive is that religion helps a little bit with loyalty (+3 in cities following your religion).
