I'm beginning to realise just how much depth asiof has. Being a hardcore Tolkien fan, I'm hard to impress when it comes to fantasy , but this has a great lore.
@Stickyrolls1233 жыл бұрын
You should check out the Wheel of time series by Robert Jordan. For the longest Tolkien's works were my favorite in fantasy but I think Jordan has surpassed everyone.

@@Stickyrolls123 also, The sword of truth by Terry Goodkind nbc or abc had a shitty show based off the first 1-2 books called legend of the seeker but it did the books no justice, the first book is called wizard's first rule, it's a great read of a series.

Essos is more interesting due to it not being heavily explored. If the story was set in Essos, then we would be hearing cool stories of an empire in the far west ruled by dragon lords with silver hair and purple eyes on a continent once populated by magical forest beings and giants.

Post Second Long Night- As Daenerys Targaryen cements her hold on Westeros, the Dothraki at her side, she realises she left half a continent without its armies. Then, the Jogos Nhai invade the West, and another conflict is born. All men must die

Imagine that the death of the Khaleesi of the Grasslands would cause a power vacuum that puts the Dothraki Sea in flux, but in my head cannon, it is the civil war raging on in Yi Ti (which started while Robert Baratheon reigned) plus certain intra-Hyrkooni tensions that I have head-cannoned that finally enables a Jingiz Khan type figure to arise from the Jogos N'hai and start a Mongol-like expansion that finally leads them west into the Dothraki Sea.

gelding 99% of your male population seriously limited the Patrimony's gene pool diversity and would have made them very susceptible to plagues and contagions...even without the environmental shift that rendered their lands desolate, there would have been an uprising from the eunuchs eventually...maybe not actual fighting, but a coordinated mass poisoning of the Great Fathers and warrior women that would have accomplished the same goal.
@g-rexsaurus7947 жыл бұрын
I think that this information or rumour about the Hirkuni is actually false, it´s literally impossible that ANYONE would accept 99% of the male population to be castrated, and female only warriors DON`T work, it´s a fact.
@starwarfan83427 жыл бұрын
Scott Mantooth doubt it, the policy of only having the best and the brightest being allowed to breed probably jumpstarted evolution to the point where these guys are just genetically tougher than others. Also they probably grew up in a society where if you weren't worthy to breed, then you deserved to be a eunuch. So the eunuchs wouldn't revolt because they thought it was their place.
@g-rexsaurus7947 жыл бұрын
Dude do you even know how any society works? People don´t "accept" their place, even in China where there was a quite small % of eunuch population they were greedy, more than any other group in the country. Or at least they were portrayed as that. Also "evolution", eugenics are bullshit and Spartan weren´t genetically superior at all.
@starwarfan83427 жыл бұрын
G-Rex Saurus and how do you know spartans weren't genetically superior? Have you met Spartans, taken a close look at their DNA to determine the difference from others? All Im saying is that after thousands of years of living the same way, your body adapts to the situations its exposed to.
@scottmantooth87857 жыл бұрын
ever hear of the eugenics movement of the 1920s?... lots of history that deals with leaders and societies who desired to cull out the undesirable portions of their population...the results were pretty horrific...nothing glamorous or romantic about it...and yes, i know that GoT is not real but the history of eugenics is not

@CollinBuckman7 жыл бұрын
Nah, the Essos equivalent of the Wall is the Five Forts of Yi-Ti.
@carlbates91107 жыл бұрын
And the Five Forts are apparently way better guarded than the Wall.
@cool06alt6 жыл бұрын
Better guarded, but not completely isolating from the grey waste since they are just a collection of forts dotted in area instead of huge inpenetrable wall like in westeros. And it does make sense since the wilding from beyond the wall is such a joke threat compared to the usual menace from the grey waste and shadowland which not only capable of doing powerful magic but also might include demon and undead threat.
