Just got mine in the mail. It's definitely better tuned than the rosewood one I had. If you push-button it, it flies open every time. No sharp edges or corners either. Once I wiped off the oil that blade is full on mirror finish too.

I bought this from bladehq and its so stiff? Mine takes so much effort just to flip the blade. And it misfires too. My fingers literally hurt after trying to open this a few times. I have to push down so hard on the flip tab... Is mine defective??

Could be, id hate to tell it’s hot when it might be. Reach out to Civivi and see what they say. All my Civivis have been smooth.

I don't know what Civivi is using for their damascus, but it is pretty. I have the McKenna and it looks just as good at the Elementum. I'm with you on the preference. I think that would be a gorgeous knife with the wood scales.

Been waiting a month for these to be restocked. Looking forward to getting it hand. Curious how it will compare to the massdrop gent (wood scales). If it's as good as the gent, I'll be very happy. This is the only KZbin review I can find of the Damascus blade elementum.

Wish I could say the same for the Opinel I showed in my live feed. I 🤬 hate that knife. The Schrade SCHF36 fixed blade blows too because the ergonomics SUCK OUT LOUD. They both suck but my viewers requested them so I'll review them. Already filmed the Schrade and it should release in October. I'll probably film the Opinel later tonight. The knives I'm digging so far from this round of blades I'm testing are the BG knives, the CJRB Centros, Scrade SCH510, and this Gerber Prodigy. I don't really have high hopes for the Gerber LMF 2 because I'm not huge on serrations but I'll keep an open mind because it could always surprise me. I've had serrated knives surprise me before
