I think the sheath on the contoured handled one is the biggest drawback next to the length. It's trying to be a more outdoor style, but they need to rethink some aspects imo.

Any Chance of a video where you have the 3 versions of the Elementum lined up. I would like to see a size comparison between the Button Lock, Fixed and the Flipper. I have the Flipper but my hands are big. I saw the button lock is bigger and I would like to see how much bigger.

What can you say about the kydex sheath? Is it able to be set up for scout carry (Horizontal on the belt) or is it vertical carry only? For fixed blade, I like to carry them at about the 11-11:30 position on my belt. It conceals them really well, and is very comfortable when seated. (As long as the sheath is rather slim styled. I have a couple of tops knives that have a very large metal clip that sticks up 1/4"" above and below the belt, and those can be a little pokey at times. Especially if you have some belly over-hang 🤣)

I do think that this is a weird choice. The folder was so successful because of how simple it was, but also because it was sub 3 inch. A sub three inch, thin handled fixed blade would've been a better successor to the original. A kydex, scout carry sheath and it would've been perfect for me.

Great looking knives, love the price and materials, and glad to see expansion in the line...elementum is a great knive. As far as edc, they are just too long. Looks like they kept the hollow grind like the rest of the family, which makes me question the strength for outdoor use, but yeah. I can't see getting of the current models. Maybe if they shrink it down and do a sheath with lots of carry options. I could see that.

This knife literally combines some of the best all around use knives from high prices customs to the cheap gas station. Why does no one use pancake sheaths that much? Another option that is near impossible without a long wait. Absolutely am I impressed, this thing is flipping sharp y'all. Seriously do not hand it out they will hurt themselves. Anyone love that feeling you get for the first second you hold a new blade, ya know like the contract is up to 2 mill Mr wick.?

It’s mind numbing to me that the stainless version looks sharper, like for urban EDC, and yet only comes with a leather sheath like a field knife...whereas the less sharp looking knife in D2 comes in the kydex necessary for rigging a proper edc belt carry. Show me the logic. That black and orange is SHARP looking for edc, but the leather sheath screws it up. The black D2 should be the field knife with the leather sheath (if they insist on one of the models sporting leather…honestly I wish they both just came with kydex.)

@@irishpotato8816 10cr15mov properties consist of Carbon 0.95-1.05 Vanadium 0.25 - 0.35 Chromium 14.50-15.50 Molybdenum 0.80-1.20 Cobalt 1.30-1.80 Manganese 0.30-0.50 Nickel 00.0-0.25 content varies from manufacturers Phosphorus 0.03 Sulfur 0.03 Silicone 0.00-0.45 The list for Vg 10 is much shorter my only educated guess is more refined steel and less impurities in it Carbon 0.95-1.05 Vanadium 0.10-0.30 Chromium 14.50-15.50 Molybdenum . 0.90-1.20 Cobalt 1.30-1.50 Manganese 0.50 Phosphorus .0.03 In a nut shell it seems both steels are similar in alot of ways but vg10 has the highest amount of vanadium even in its lowest quantity which vanadium plays a part in edge retention but i'd hazard to say if heat treats are done right both steels would perform similarly in the edge retention field as for corrosion resistance can't comment on that as for the manganese content of both steels it seems like vg10 always has the same amount in place so tigher grain structure and corrosion resistance. Draw your own conclusions from this if you see fit but at the end of the day both steels would perform well across the board.

Looks nice! In earlier videos from other companies, they were showing the prototype of this knife and it had mosaic pins. Did they do away with that?

They left money on the table by not offering a two-tone kydex sheath in black with red highlights or the reverse. I love the knife but that "leather" sheath looks like an afterthought and they are not interchangeable.
