I passed on the bandwagon of the elementum and I recently purchased one. I got the blade HQ tanto exclusive and man oh man idk why waited so long! It's literally smoother and any of my other knives. Even my $200 + knives. It's an amazing knife for the price!

I guess I am one of the few, who don't like the Elementum. Bought it, used it, sold it.

These are a nice light-duty daily carry utility type knife. (I have two of them and like them a lot) With this said, for light duty, I would suggest the OSO Sweet from Kershaw for almost half the price. In my experience, for everyday use, I carry the OSO, since it does the same job, and I would not sweat it if I lost it, at about $26. (The OSO also has a more pointed blade, and would be better suited if you had to use it for defense) The Civivi does feel like it is better quality than the OSO, and a person would not be disappointed in it. - The best solution of course, is to just buy them both....(I got the wife a purple Civivi and she carries it in her purse daily.) One clear advantage is the Civivi does not take as much effort to manipulate the flipper. The OSO actually takes a lot of pressure to deploy, which may not make it suitable for smaller folks to operate (which is a good thing if small kids pick it up off the dresser to look at it)

I did the same thing! Bought the Elementum in purple for my gf to carry in her purse and got one with a micarta handle for me. I love it and wear it every day around the office. I also bought a Cold Steel Pro Lite Sport for when I want something more substantial. The Cold Steel is more like a tool I would bring to a job site, while the Civivi is less likely to cause a panic when I whip it out in polite company. I think police or event security would be less likely to consider the Elementum as a weapon.

Meh, it's kind of feminine to me personally. I gave it a chance, but I don't see it as a working knife. It's ok for some light EDC type to open a small package, cut something like a rope or a fruit and make it look nice for pictures on some forum 🤷

fair enough 👍

@@knivesgadgetsmore In any case, great video. If I may suggest a knife that you might want to look at, the Fox Edge ATRAX. There are not many videos and articles about it, but it is an interesting choice for someone who does not need an expensive and large knife for EDC.
