My Powerwagon is so jealous! I like the fact that the factory sway bar disconnect was left alone, however, I wonder if swapping it out would provide a better ride at higher speeds offroad... It seems that the wagon would still have a ridiculous amount of flex in any case. Can't wait to start getting my suspension built up soon! Also, thanks for including the bushing info about the stock radius arms. I think I would still go with the fabricated arms over the stock. #timetotruss

We'd hands down prefer running a Carli sway bar as the Factory Power Wagon one is either a super stiff on, or off and letting the truck roll around with too many limitations on speed etc. Since the Carli sway bar will flex just as hard but keeps body roll under control, we'd just need to figure out a way to keep the electronics on the truck happy. A swap kit to run a Carli sway bar on the Power Wagon without warning lights is something we've definitely considered making.

@@CJCOffRoad Love it.. other than that I think the shock mounts would need an upgrade.. unless I missed that part in the video... I'm going to have to stop in and ask for the Powerwagon special
@TheUnorthodoxx Жыл бұрын
How much do those limiting straps limit the flex, seems like there would be less travel than stock when disconnected.

When, when, when are we going to see an offering for the 2021-2023 F150? I see offerings for Chevy/GMC and Ram but not Ford F150. With the increase in F150 off-road and over landing it feels like the demand is there. Hope to see something soon and happy to be your first 2023 F-150 customer when it comes out.

This whole setup is only about 900 pounds, so it's actually just fine! We'd prefer the power of the Cummins engine though.

When do you rebuild the kings shocks and how much does it cost. And my rubber bushing on it out
@CJCOffRoad Жыл бұрын
Rebuild interval all depends on usage. Cost is minimal as long as you're just servicing the standard wear items. On this particular truck, the fronts use a pintop mount which requires bushings and then all other mounts are eyelet style. Here's a link to see rebuild part pricing: shop.carlisuspension.com/shop/shocks/king/king-shock-rebuild/

how well would the Go fast camper work on a stock suspension Power wagon and if I ran 35's will the spare fit in the stock location? I really like the power wagons and think this set up is a great hunting/camping rig! For me, the decked system in the bed would be the direction id go for the storage of all the camp and recovery gear.
@CJCOffRoad Жыл бұрын
We actually wouldn't recommend it. The stock Power Wagon coils have an extremely low payload of only about 1,200 pounds, so you'd be close to the bump stops with a setup like this. You pretty much have to do something like this with the Carli R2 high capacity coils to make it work!
@rbljackson Жыл бұрын
@@CJCOffRoad thanks for the honest response. Not including the cost of the truck itself, what would be the ballpark cost to upgrade a Power wagon into this VERY Capable Adventure rig. Im in love with the concept! Could a build be done by your shop as a custom order and then a customer fly in to pick it up? I dont think id want to trust a local shop to do the install work.

…never mind, I see that you have to take up all that room in the rear. Could’ve swore that I saw a spare still mounted underneath during one of the rear suspension shots.

Yeah there's no way to get a 37" Spare under the truck with a Ram 2500 due to the rear track bar.

Would guy go 35s if you knew you going to run chains at some points during the year?
@CJCOffRoad Жыл бұрын
yeah you'll have more room if you like to run chains. We personally never really run chains on our trucks as there's plenty of tire options that do just fine in the snow, but we also don't live in an area with prolonged winter weather.

Is it possible with that same set up, to mount a sway bar disconnect on a 2500 HD Cummins Diesel? Or only on PW?
@marcosierra1822 Жыл бұрын
I run a Thuren swaybar on my diesel with a Pintop and it works great!
@MSparks9509 Жыл бұрын
PW Only. Intercooler is in the way on the diesel. The Carli Torsion sway bar is a good compromise on a diesel. Not as stiff as stock and flexes more.

You missed the most important question. What gas mileage are you getting with that set up?
@combatoffroad Жыл бұрын
Will likely never see anything above 12-13mpg. I can get up to 13.5 on good days on stock sus with 37's, unloaded, and not feathering the pedal, but also not mashing at every chance I get.
@CJCOffRoad Жыл бұрын
We get anywhere from 7-13 or so depending on terrain etc. It really isn't that different from what the truck got stock.
