Question: 1:09:25 Is it really that cruel? I hope this wasn't taken personally, because it (ofcourse) really isn't. I just thought Baron was going a lot faster than the rest of us, and this was a way to slow him down in my opinion. I understand me spending a move on this, benefits blue and yellow the most, but I thought this was necessary. 1:09:50 What kind of move was this? I can't quite make it up. :)

That early missplay of Ilban costing him a move is really something that hurts him in the long run, it's hard to actually quantify but an intrigue card(1 solari for a trash) and an extra troop garrison could really change things up.

rules clarification question- i don’t believe they don’t have to trash on the discard effect. just if they are going to trash they have to do it with the discard and can’t wait till later in the turn. (that trash symbol is always optional as i understand it) 1:11:00

I mean I guess the trash is not mandatory but the decision if you're going to or not must be made after the discard as it's an atomic effect i.e. it all happens in one motion.

Yep, you are right, it was my mistake. I needed to trash it after discarding. But was very excited about all the things I had to do so did that a little later in the turn

In round 7 how does Hundro go hardy warriors without paying a water? That same water that allows him to go harvesting spice and after that heighliner. So what am I missing here?

When he hits the 4th influence, he regains a water from the fremen track, even though he doesn't get the alliance.

I think Plans or Harvest Cell would save Hundro in the end, but drawing it requires insane luck for sure

Tessia and Ilban lost too many resources and opportunities fighting for the Swordmaster. In the meantime Baron got ahead enjoying all the unfettered access to shipping and won.

46:00 I was considering going high counsil but was indeed worried not getting swordmaster next round. Maybe was a bit on tilt not getting it that round because of the crazy previous combat. :) Could/should have let Sisters do swords for the eventual tie. Was difficult but really interesting. Chose for Carthag for the cheap 4 solari.

It was kinda absurd really how it broke down and it's hard to stay objective sometimes. I would know.

Taking the bumps in emperor as hundro would be the way to avoid ending the game on round 8, but it's a really weird play to find.
