Tannadice is much better than Dens in every aspect. Might look a bit shabby on the outside but inside it's a top-class ground. Better than a lot of the larger stadiums in Scotland IMO. The pitchside atmosphere, good views, and reasonable attendance. Once Dundee get their Camperdown stadium built, things will be better. That asbestos-filled dump has been decaying for literal centuries. Considering the new stadium is in some random retail park area outside Lochee between a busy motorway, I doubt it will even get built lol.

At this point any win will do. Igamane looks like a very good prospect potentially. He reminds me of a younger Rod Wallace in his play when he drifts wide and as a striker. He looks comfortable in both positions and a bit of a hybrid striker. I think once he finds his groove, starts scoring and running at defences, he will frighten teams. He also has shades of R9 build wise, not that for a second I am saying he is that good. Though he looks good enough to have a very bright future if he does the right things.

Souttar is the most likely option. I quite rate him, he does the job and that's enough for me. Tavernier can't even do that. Only reason he's still lingering around is because he bought a big fancy million-quid house and doesn't want to leave it. He dictates and shouts at other teammates but repeatedly fails himself with always either way out of position, getting pocketed or punting the ball into no-man's land. It's like he phases into the background. Wouldn't want the arm-band going to Butland since I don't think goalkeepers make good captains. If Sterling and Barron were just that wee bit more experienced then they could easily be contenders for captaincy. Balogun is too old and injury-prone. I don't see who else it could be other than Souttar.

So, the positives; we played some beautiful football in that first.....12 minutes and then slowly we seemed to run out of ideas. Surely when discussing how the game might go part of the teamtalk from Clement should be about "if the opposition change their formation then this is what we will do"? Because when they scrapped their 4,3,3 as you point out CJ, we seemed to struggle with that change. Player wise; Butland didn't have a lot to do but was solid. Taverneir is STILL our weakest link BY FAR. He shouldn't be on the park never mind capitan. When the Utd player got past him at one point, did Tav turn and chase after him? No, he turned and JOGGED. Yet we had both Sterling and Neray on the bench??? Surely to God, he can't believe that Taverneir is better than those 2???? Soutar was really solid and IMHO deserved his MOTM. Propper did alright but I'm still not 100% convinced by him as yet. Jefte had a really good game. Barron, once again, covered every blade of grass, demanded the ball and had some lovely through passes. Dowel was not a stand out in any way. Pretty invisible to be fair. Diomande, like you CJ, I'm frustrated that he doesn't seem to shoot anymore. Why is that? Has he been told to stop? Thought he had a decent game. Lawrence played well today. SHOULD have got 2 goals and possibly 3. We will likely get another 1 or 2 good games from him then he'll get injured or disappear in games. I don't trust the lad to perform at that level when he's really needed. Cortes had a good game, always looking to go forward. The sooner he's fully match fit the better. Dessers....AARRGGHH I'm now officially nicknaming him THE WORM because he spends more time lying on the ground than running on top of it. The moaning, complaining, looking for fouls that are never fouls, all that pisses me off no end. His theatrics and throwing himself to the ground has just got to STOP. Bajrami had a decent 45 and I look forward to seeing him play in the No 10 role. Igamane really excited me. He was everything that Dessers isn't, fast, forward thinking, strong, CALM, holds the ball up well, wins headers and STAYS ON HIS FEET. Today was about winning and getting back to winning ways and that's what we did and with the bonus of a clean sheet. Having said that, Clement needs to be braver by dropping Taverneir* and not molly coddling the new players and just PLAY THEM. I said in the preview video that the way Clement spoke in the press conference that he wasn't going to start Bajrami and so it proved to be. Instead he plays the likes of Dowel who can't even be near match fit and Cortes who is just coming back from injury. You should ALWAYS play your strongest team from the START. *The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" and that sums up this constant playing of Taverneir.

Igamane was looking to impress while Dessers was looking uninspired. Get the feeling though that fans are losing faith with Clement. Everyone expects him to put wrong team out,make bad substitutions and unable to change things mid game.

We looked pretty damn good for 20 mins then we reverted to type this season, seriously worried about our lack of style being implemented by Clement. Igamane looked really good the but very disappointed that Dessers has gone backwards again, he was dreadful. Falling over and wanting fouls and his hold up is terrible. Propper worries me too, looks prone to mistakes but might just need to settle more. Good 3 points at a difficult venue for us and hopefully we string this into better performances.

Good 25 minutes and should have scored 4 or 5. United never really caused us any problems. Lawrence, Souttar & Barron our best and Igamane liked really good

What do you mean just enough? Sometimes games away from home aren’t pretty, I thought we controlled that game beginning to end … couple of guys who haven’t played in the team, Dowell starting, only downside was Dessers falling about and the young Moroccan doing more in half the time … I’d go with the boy, he’s full of running, he’s strong and he’s got a bit of magic, the Albanian looks clever on the ball too so it’s a good three points against a United team in form.

Butlands kicking is a worry. But his saves are fantastic. Not too sure on Propper ? Subs were great.

Don't often disagree with C.J., But I thought Lawrence was very average along with Tavenier Propper Diomande Dessers Dowell, good were Soutter Jefte, motm Barron Cortes Igamane and Bajrami in his short time on the park and also out of position ( predictably by Clement). A hard 3 points but very acceptable.

The only possible explanation for Dowell getting so much game time is that PC mut have been a fan of the channel during the glorious "Career Mode Kieran Dowell" days. Must be too busy to watch these days.

Too many players - not just on Rangers - will simulate or complain to the ref looking for a free kick. Igamane looks like a player that will fight through contact to win the ball or take a chance at goal. This is the attitude and culture we must have at our great club if we wish to regain the title.

I think Tav should be moved into midfield now. He still has a lot to offer with set pieces, pens, passing but his pace just isn't what it was and it's causing him problems.

We don’t need him, get him gone and keep what’s left of his legacy intact, we shouldn’t he accomodating to players that are well past it, get new players in and sell them on.

An overall entertaining game. Barron was on fire and Jefte did well. Both teams pressed hard, I think the scoreline could have gone very differently for either. Still a lot of issues to taper up but 3-points nonetheless. Hamza Igamane and Danilo are both better than Cyriel Dessers IMO and it frustrates me to say that. Obviously, he is determined and works hard, but his finishing is rank-rotten. Dessers is probably the most polarizing player in the squad as one game he is hailed as a hero; the next people want him sold. Time will tell what his future is at the club. We have to back Clement from now on. Hopefully, we can knock the sheep off their high-horse and keep a good run of form from now until the end of the season. It's not over yet. Considering the circumstances and atmosphere surrounding the club ATM, it's easy to doubt - I have hope. Usual suspects were honking but I'm not going to waste time parroting what we already know. 3-points and finally back to Ibrox to face Dundee (not United). All that matters.
