I'm really glad you enjoy Starfox Zero and it's nice to hear someone have a positive viewpoint. It's honestly one of my favorites on the Wii U. I actually really like the controls, 180 degree field of vision at all times allowed for stage design not possible with a controller and made the dogfights so engaging. There's also too much to love in the game regardless.

Just when I felt like there was nothing to watch, here you go uploading, what convenient timing! Post video: At first I was kinda surprised to not see Xenoblade X, but then I realized I didn't even finish the game myself, and XC1 is one of (if not just all time) favorite games ever. Also, while I've only played it a little, Tokyo Mirage Sessions seems to show a lot of promise. Pretty sure once I get around to actually playing it I'll have a lot of fun with it, but alas, it looks to have suffered the same fate as Wonderful 101.

Nice list! I actually agree with just about everything on here. Even... Y'know... *Get's flame shield ready* Loving Star Fox Zero. I know what you mean about the controls just... clicking midway through the adventure. They just make sense to me, and were actually enjoyable once I figured them out. I do kinda wish we'd get a new Star Fox that wasn't living in 64's shadow for once... but I really did enjoy the game for what it was. ...but Smash Bros. was undoubtedly my #1 favorite game on the console, and one of the reasons my Wii U still gets more use than my Switch at the moment.

Nothing like coffee and watching a new cj video again. :) My favorites: 1. Pikmin 3: Nearly PERFECTS the Pikmin formula and the first two games were already wonderful! 2. Smash 4 Wii U: Tight gameplay, so many awesome characters, and that DLC! 3. Shovel Knight: I love finding secrets, the characters are charming, the challenge is about right, and the music is pure ear candy! 4. Mario Kart 8: Again, the mechanics are as good as they could ever be, the DLC gave me a bang for my buck, and it's just plain fun!

This was an awesome video to watch! I would definitely be up for a Donkey Kong Country Warriors! Playing the Arena Mode with 3 other people in DK64 was always a lot of fun for me so they could definitely do some cool things with that! I really appreciate the passion and the "small details" you put into your videos that really add a lot of spark and personality to them! I literally played Tropical Freeze like over three years ago at GameStop for like 15 minutes and I still haven't forgotten how much fun I had playing it!! Keep it up and looking forward to more videos! :)

I feel bad for cj I've been watching his videos since 2009 and subscribed to him since 2012 once I made a KZbin account and it's a shame he hasn't grown many subscribers since then even though his videos were high quality. He never resorts to click bait and honestly some videos he can make slightly longer just to have an extra ad for more money but he doesn't waste time that tells you he does this out of passion and not for lots of money we need more youtubers like cj

I think I only have about 20 games on the Wii U that aren't indie titles, so this should be easy: 10. Nintendo Land - The amount of fun I've had with friends and family has exceeded far beyond the amount it should be. 9. Mario Kart 8 -Deluxe is better, but I can't deny the fun moments I've shared with those close to me. 8. Hyrule Warriors - Wasn't sure whether to list this or DKC: TF, but I've played more of the former. 7. Yoshi's Wooly World- Cutest game on the system 6. Game & Wario - Like Nintendo Land, my family loves the simplistic nature of the good parts of the game. 5. Pikmin 3 - The Wii U game I got for buying Mario Kart 8. The graphics were beautiful and it being my first Pikmin title left an overwhelmingly positive impression on me. 4. Super Mario 3D World - I loved playing through this title to completion, and it is the best 3D platformer on the Wii U, but the 2d nature in a 3D space didn't seem to translate as geniously as 3D Land 3. Splatoon - Loved playing the original with friends over Discord during the late nights, hope to have the same experience with the sequel. 2. Mario Maker - Literally the game all people know me for. 1. Super Smash Bros 4 - the 600+ hours of completion, competition, and crazy fun speak for themselves. I've gained so many friends, learned so many things, and have had years worth of fun that's never really stopped. Even when life is busy and there's "nothing to play", I always have this to fall back on.

My favorite Wii U game is Freedom Planet. I would say Smash Bros., but I've spent so much time playing Freedom Planet that my play time for Smash Bros. pales in comparison to this game. I remember the day I bought the game which was 2 weeks after the release on the console and when I played through the game, it felt like I was blessed by god. This was back in October 2015, a time when I was wondering when the next good Sonic game would come out. This game did its job of keeping me entertained.

BTW cj. The Number 10 entry reminded me of something I've been wondering your thoughts on. As much as it scratched the Star Fox itch, Zero didn't so hot from a business standpoint. That, and it was meant to be a reboot for the Star Fox series. But they did release Star Fox 2 on the SNES Classic so I'm wondering if they'll try to reboot the series again by making a remake of Star Fox 2 that's on Star Fox 64's level and putting it on the Switch. It's just an idea but I'd like to know you're thoughts on it.

In my list, I'd probably switch out Smash place with Mario Kart 8 place because it was the game that I bought a WiiU for, it was my first pre-ordered game and also It's the game where I've spent more hours on my WiiU and don't get me wrong, I know it has flaws but my reaction to the first trailer was similar to your Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze Reaction and I also love Sonic& All-Stars Racing Transformed but I did buy that game one day before I got MK8 so yeah, It got benched, although I've played a lot of both games. Oh, and MK8 did get me my first victory at e-sports although I finished 3rd xD

I have almost all of the same games on my list, but in a different order (aside from for glory 1 on 1 ... I mean smash) and no Star Fox, Hyrule warriors, or Sonic and All Stars Racing because I never played any of them, so I’ll talk about a game that I feel gets more flak than even Starfox Zero. New Super Mario Bros U I played this after Super Mario 3D world, and after how slow the running startup was when it came to 3D world, it felt so much better to control. And the level design is at an all time best for the 2D series. Heck, they even had more of a story to it, it was nothing spectacular, but ever since the fall from galaxy to galaxy 2, I’ve been starved for attention put into a main series Mario story.

While the Wii U failed in terms of nintendos other consoles, it still had amazing gems when it came to games For me, my list would be similar to yours, with possible additions being Mario Kart 8, 3D world, and pokken. But one crucial change would be that I would put Wonderful 101 at #1. So glad we see it in the same light, as an underrated gem.

To be honest, I really enjoyed Zero once I got the hang of the controls. It wojld definitely make my top 10. I also recently got Pikmin 3, and have loved it, and the Wonderful 101, which I haven't gotten to play yet but this video has made me salivate at the thought of it. Tropical Freeze is always a great time, as is Shovel Knight and the two Steamworld games for the system (I really want Dig 2 but I have some games to get through first). Mario Kart was great, but I haven't played it in a while, since I've gotten DX (it was my first game for Wii U and Switch), and so is Splatoon. I don't actually own Smash Wii U, since it didn't really pique my interest to own ahead of single player games, since I am the only person who plays games in my family. Pretty solid list overall

Shovel Knight Honestly, though I've had some fun with it, the Wii U is probably my least favorite console of all the ones I own. The Wii U pad is often more of a hassle than fun, and I find the Wii U's overall selection of games incredibly lackluster when compared to pretty much any other Nintendo console ever. Case in point, this is the only Nintendo console I actually have a hard time finding more than 10 good games for, unlike the Wii or the Gamecube where I struggle to ONLY mention 10 games. Thankfully the Switch already has a lot of promising titles on the way, so hopefully it won't end up disappointing me like the Wii U did.

Oh they're not banned, I just wasn't that impressed with them so I thought I'd give a fair warning that they wouldn't be on here. 6.) I said I know it will sound like I'm bashing Mario Kart 8 by comparing it but that's not my intention, I just wanted to show my thoughts between the two and why I like Sonic Racing T more. 3.) Not a lot of sites gave this the glowing review it deserved, plus it sold very poorly. 1.) Sonic and All Stars Racing is one of the best racing games of all time and I feel like Mario Kart is just...easier for people to pick up and play, I don't know. Like Diddy Kong Racing on the N64, I really wish it got more attention. Same with DKC Tropical Freeze, I still think it's the best 2D Platformer I've ever played. Also, didn't you play Xenoblade X? Did you not really like that one as much?

I really every Wii U game I've gotten (Tropical Freeze, Nintendo Land, Legends, 3D World, Mario and Luigi U, Woolly World, Mario Maker, Kart 8, Smash, Splatoon, Party 10, Hyrule Warriors, game and Wario, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions) The only game I'm having trouble enjoying is Xenoblade Chronicles X, not the game's fault it's just way too confusing for me

Oddly enough, one of my favorite games on the Wii U was Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. Sure it was an odd concept, but it was a solid RPG, and I really enjoyed the story.

I'm glad to see Star Fox Zero on there. I don't know that it would make MY list, but I think it was a much better game than people gave it credit for. It frustrates me that many, MANY of the complaints about it pertain to the very things that MAKE it Star Fox in the first place. "It's only three hours long"? No kidding. So were Star Fox and Star Fox 64. "It's so linear!" That's what a rail shooter IS, dummy! "The story is just copy pasted from Star Fox 64!" And you care why? Did you forget Star Fox is about gameplay first and story second? Or that Star Fox 64 was essentially a copy/paste of the original game? And then there's the complaints that are actually supposed to ADDRESS these shortcomings! "The gyrowing is gimmicky and slow!" That's because the game's linear levels were getting too repetitive and wearing on the player! "The routes don't require you to play through the game from the beginning making decisions!" I wonder if that has anything to do with players not having the attention span to replay levels fifteen times to find new ones? It's almost like Nintendo legitimately tried to make a successor to Star Fox after years of complaints about the series straying away from its roots...and then everyone suddenly flipped the lid and wanted it to evolve into something totally different. Even the controls--frustrating as they can be--aren't that bad if you just give them a chance.

So, we're getting the lists before the reviews. Cool. Anyway, I have this to say. The Wii U was a great console that unfortunately never got to show its greatest potential. Some would say because it never did because of some supposed Pokémon Snap sequel or something like that which never came out, but I say it's because it was missing an identity. There was no big-ticket game that people wanted to get at the launch, people mistook it for an addon to the Wii, there was simply no huge, game-changing aspect the Wii U had despite being so different. However, I still hold positive feelings for this console. Games like Nintendoland, Batman Arkham City, Game & Wario, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, and Super Smash Bros. For Wii U continue to have a fond place in my heart. Also, the GBA virtual console means that my pitiful GBA library can now be a little less pitiful. It is a console that I will be glad to own, despite all the pitfalls it suffered. Regardless, it's nice to see that the lessons we have learned with the U are being put into practice. To end this off, I want to give thanks for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Not just for being a strong start to the Switch's life-span, but a dignified conclusion to its predecessor. May the legacy of the Wii U live on.

You know, I was gonna respond to your list with my reactions to the games you put on, but... sorry to say, I either haven't played or just disliked most of the games on here... Either way, some of my favorites include: Super Smash Bros, (Obviously) Super Mario Maker, Mario Party 10, and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. I completely disagree, I thought Mario was the King of the Wii U.

My list and breif explination 1. Wind waker Hd cause its my all time fav game 2.smash bros....umm duuuuuuh 3.xenoblade Chroinicles x because im a sucker for open world games with so much to do 4.Hyrule warriors i have 100% that game and have no regrets 5.Mario 3D land that music and levels is what keeps me coming back 6.splatoon because well its addictive as can be 7.shovel knight i wasnt the biggest fan at launch but then i played specter knight and YUS ITS AMAZING I WILL PLAY IT FOR DAYS 8.Yoshis wolly world cause its yoshi in yarn its cute and fun 9. Mariokart 8 because its mario kart i cant put it down sometimes 10. Breath of the wild again sucker for open worlds but for me its missing something for it to be higher Thats my list and you have a differnce of opion put it in the comment below

Call it a hunch (because that's exactly what it is) but I don't think he's played either of them. Of course whether or not he would have put them on the list if he had played them I don't know. Plus you know, the Wii U version of Freedom Planet didn't get updated to the games final update like the Steam and PS4 versions did. And it's missing some content like Milia's campaign because of that.
