As for the things Michael mentioned, the med rack is probably my fav addition. I usually set the work level to 'relaxed' in an effort to keep san and health up. Having a good stock of medical items that my base pals can access themselves will allow me to set the workload higher without worry.

I was debating if I really needed the item retrieval machine then I realized that the real benefit would be getting home with a full bag and being able to use that to auto sort everything into the correct chest instead of running around putting things in the right place.

That was pretty much the end game. Had one base for farming/breeding, one for ore/production, and one for oil/ranching. Was pretty fun designing them all, but definitely time consuming. (Also got into maxing our pals and testing mechanics like shroom pals and stress.) Kinda burnt out, though more because got a bunch of other games to try. Hope when I dive back into Palworld they’ll have some mechanic that lets us summon pals at a distance again.

A little disappointed that the ladder is mostly aesthetic (even lacking an associated animation), but I suppose it is a nice edition to be able to build a base where your options of ascent aren’t only stairs, wall climbing, or grapple gun. Also, figures they’d add a battery system right after I got done breeding a bunch of nocturnal super worker Orserks.

The medicine rack is a game changer. For some reason, on one of my bases, I can not keep the pals healthy, so being able to put medicine out for them and not have to worry too much is a huge help. Thanks for pointing that out.

Food does not expire in the guild storage. I set up my farming base to not allow any food/ingredients to be stored in any of the normal storage boxes so my pals automatically store them in the guild storage. Such a time saver for me because my farming base is not where I cook.

The new pals, abilities, and all that are cool. But this is the exciting stuff. That said, people whining about oil and electricity needed to get with the program. If you’re hitting the point where you need all that, you’ve reached the stage you should be maxing out your pals. And 2 maxed lightning dragon things goes bonkers generating, more than enough for the location you can squeeze in 6 extractors.

Personally, anything that makes the game deliver on the dystopian exploitation theme is the right direction for Palworld, kind of what sets it apart. And having giant storage containers fit perfectly. But they were too inefficient due to base planning. So I’m very happy with this change. Hoping for some way pals can access it, some sort of deposit box that can be placed next to production buildings that sorts items to the desired storage container.

@ It helps, but not really what I’m after. You want to put containers next to production buildings and limit what goes in. But you have to remember where everything is, and occasionally have a weird time moving stuff due to multiple bases or canceling a large production task. New buildings help a lot. But I’d still like it if I could have multiple massive stacked storage containers that I know contain specific item types, but don’t need me or pals wasting time interacting with. It’s understandably a low priority, but would still like having it.

Unless you DID mention it and I just missed it, I THINK you forgot to mention the Alpha and Beta wave generator things. One reduces the rate at which SAN drops, while the other increases the speed of work slightly.

The guild chest is basically an ender chest from minecraft. Definietly hands down the best one. As for the rest, I don't see much use for the item retrieval one or the medicine rack, nor the big battery. As if we're at least somewhat organized, we won't lose our items. If we've set up our bases properly, we won't need medicines often enough to warrant automatization. And for the battery, we could just set up multiple electricity generators to store energy for us for a while, if we use a high performance elwctricity generating pal, like an orserk for example. The new furnace and stove that can accomodate multiple Jormuntide Ignises however, are pretty damn good.

The accumulator essentially means you can run 6 oil pumps with one Orzerk and not have to worry about power generation :)

Medicine rack potentially means higher work loads become feasible. I tested sanity a crap a ton with the shroom pals, different saunas, and more, but it never reaches a point where higher workloads are sustainable. Was disappointing because it cut into the whole dystopian exploitation theme pretty hard. Agree on electricity. More than capable of producing all you need if you put in the time to max out electricity producing pals. But not against it either. Just was never the problem people made it out to be. That item retrieval thing could help tons with organization, so I’m for it. Haven’t played in a while though, so not entirely sure how it works.

@@Goremize dunno what kind of steroids your orzerk is using, but for me, I use 6 Azuremanes (level 4 electricity generation pal, same as an orzerk) to keep just 3 oil pumps running, let alone 6.

@@Wortigon2000 Max work speed on orserk that is fully condensed easily rungs 8 oil rigs. Condensing the pal by sacrificing 116 pals will level the pal skill to max as well as it's base skill level for things by 1 so an orserk becomes rank 5 power generation. Work speed makes him generate more power in less time there is a new passive skill that's +75% workspeed called "remarkable craftmanship" So you have it with artisan that's +30% and work slave another plus 30% with serious a plus 20%. All combined with using souls to max workspeed by 60% you are left with a power generating beast.

Yes indeed! If you have a mining base and were using chests for them to store all the stuff, replace it with a guild chest and it'll go directly towards any crafting anywhere. Centralizing all your wood and fiber saves a lot of room for new ammo!

The Skill Fruit orchard has 2 exclusive skill fruits that aren't found on any wild Skill Trees. These are Holy Burst Fruit & Flame Funnel Fruit You can get them by planting their respective element type fruit. You plant 1 fruit, get 2 back with a chance at a 3rd fruit which can be random from the same element. IMHO plant Air Blade until you get Holy Burst & then cycle between Air Blade & Holy Burst fruits. These 2 skills are the highest DPS moves in the game & basically OP for any Raid Pals.

I dont get these min-maxing players sometimes, they work their Pals until they are sick and depressed, dont they know this hinders productivity. Keeping your Pals healthy and happy leads to much more efficient work because then you dont have Pal slacking off, going to bed early or just plain giving up on tasks.
