Samsung's first smartwatches were square before Apple even had a watch. I've been hoping they brought that back since it left. Meanwhile the rest of android dropped circle watches so that would mean Apple copied Samsung to begin with. It's a back and forth we can't praise Apple for coping then shame others for doing it. Apple is stealing how you customize your home screen from android right now but everyone loves it. Let's keep it fair. Samsung started the hole punch in the phone craze and now Apple has it on it's phones plus many other things. Truthfully it doesn't matter as long as the final product is fire the consumer wins.

Galaxy watches to me look awesome. The buds u wonder about. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is a phone I wouldn’t touch with a 10 foot pole. Foldable screens still fail often.

Apple is software not so much of hardware but now they finally made a a15 lineup of soc , apple slowly jumping in the hardware game , using their own screens , chips , but non of this should be possible not even competitions because they not the only one using these products. So all big tech should get along for us the people convience , I would like to play some apple store games and subscribe to them also

I have a friend in Korea that really hates what Samsung is doing with their phones in recent years. He blames it on, Roh Tae-moon, who became Samsung's President of Mobile Divison in 2020. Which is coincidentally when we start to see Samsung change like dropping Microsd slot in the flagships, and getting rid of the charger in the box, etc. My friend in Korea really believes ever since Roh Tae-moon became President of Samsung's mobile division is when Samsung really tries to copy Apple in certain aspects to their phones, etc.

Samsung is one of the OG's in the smartwatch. They did square, circle, curved, squircle, rectangle...long before Apple. Kudos for recognizing that fact in your video! I don’t think a button color is any more copying than Apple "copying" a Power button on iphones; or a punch-hole; or more RAM; or Home Screen customization. At this point, we've reached peak on these devices, and there's only so much either company can do.

As a well entrenched Apple ecosystem guy for a while a couple observations. One, I like the round watch aesthetic more than the Apple watch square body. I even tried an older Samsung watch for a few weeks and to be honest I like the functionality and form factor. If the "orange" action button is going to be a real thing, that's a clear design "dig" at Apple. The Samsung buds, again, if an accurate depiction that may or may not be an Apple influenced decision. In my way of thinking it is clear over all these years of observation/use these two tech titans (and others) copy each other's designs. Frankly, there's not too many different ways to go with these products relative to design/implementation. Use what YOU like and makes sense for YOU, your budget and lifestyle and don't get so hung up tech class warfare. Just my 2 cents worth.

As usual, spot on. I have seen the Honor V2, and with their second iteration, they have built a better foldable phone than Samsung. With stylus support on all screens, if I weren't a Samsung fanboy, I would change my entire ecosystem. I would like to have the new watch and buds, but the Fold 6 sounds so disappointing that I might change everything. It's a shame because as an old Note user, I had hoped that the Fold, which was predestined to be the ultimate Note, would have evolved more. All the other content creators are singing praises for the new Fold even though they have seen that there are better devices out there. You are one of the only honest creators who say it like it is. I am disappointed and confused with what Samsung is doing. I also can't understand why they would use the word "ultra" or "slim" and then want to release the phone months later. It will coincide with the S25 sales, and then a couple of months later, the Fold 7? They used to own almost 60% of the foldable phone market, but with this strategy, they are going to lose even more.

Both copy each other all the time but I do feel Samsung take more jabs. The battery and headphone jack are things Samsung poked fun on then did the same thing. Then Apple copies with the big screens and customization. At the end of the day like it or not, we get quality stuff from these two. But even though I use iPhone, Samsung has always been supreme with their split screen and true multitasking. Man Apple needs to step that up!!!

I have many earbuds, including the Buds2 Pro, and my most comfortable and reliable pair are the stem style Soundcore Liberty 4. I think this design is superior for call quality and stability (not for looks). So I think the new stem Buds 4 design to me is a step in the right direction.

I am sorry but I don't think it is correct to try to make Samsung do the front screen wider. There are people who like it that way because they hold the phone with 1 hand on the streets, and the 2nd hand is always busy. If a lot of people request that, Samsung will introduce a wider front screen killing the comfort for other users. Wider screens are already available on other phones. This one is for a specific niche of busy people who have their 2nd hand always busy. I don't think it is fair since there would be nothing offered to this type of customer then. Should we always hold on to old phones then as a result? 😢

Then I heard the watch 7 was coming so I decided to wait. However, the anticipated price of the Ultra is way too much. Now I'll just wait and look across the android watches when the ultra actually gets here.

Great content. As for samsung trying to be apple. It's the same for apple trying to be samsung. Look at the iPhone16 pro max doing what samsung has been doing with there phone's for ages.🤔 as for the watch 7 ultra, I like the first renders of it more than the recent renders. It looks like the Panerai luminor chronograph. For me, I don't look at the watch as 700, I look at it as 50 bucks a month through my career. In the end, both brands are taking things from each other. It really doesn't matter anymore. BUT samsung still gives you a lot more freedom to make your watch yours. Sorry apple.

I had a Samsung watch. About 18 months in my wife and I were at the beach (100 degrees that day), when we returned to the hotel, the watch stopped working (I had a screen protector on it). I tried everything to get it to work. Nothing worked. Samsung basically said buy a new watch. A few weeks later I bought a iPhone and the Apple watch. As of today I've had the AW a little longer than I had the Samsung watch. My wife and I went back to that same beach a few weeks ago (96 degrees that day). I was walking along and fell into the water. The AW went under and as I walked back to our tent the watch was working fine. I was able to activate the speaker to expel water. I've had zero problems since. The build quality of Apple is A+. No way would I go back to a Samsung device.

The copying is a back and forth. When Apple designed the notch to hold the Face ID components, other androids OEMS and not Samsung, copied the design. Samsung always had an always on display. Apple finally included an always on display in their own style. Samsung later copied that design of always on display on their s24 Ultra.

I guess the difference we are seeing is coming from the current head Roh, DJ koh was the one responsible for the infamous Note 10+ and the Beast Note 9. My personal opinion the direction of product quality has shifted since the change of leadership. If you think back Samsung was always giving us a year of one product that tested the market and have a new direction but never settled on the same design after 2yrs now it's the Apple way ( safe design that works and internals that work, gradually better but not true upgrade unlike the past)

Both of these companies copy each other to some degree so i dont care I really want them to do it so we can get the best of both worlds. I dont care about the orange button I rather like the orange button because i like the design of the apple watch ultra I just want to stay on android so I'm glad samsung designed it the way they did i just hope the features stack up to the price point. Now to be fair I've also hated Samsung for copying apple with the no sd card slot, no headphone jack, and no charger in the box cheapskate activities.

Samsung used to be the innovator on smartphones, used to be better then any but they dropping the ball as of lately. Specially they dropped TD bank for Samsung finance and pushing affirm, what a slap on the face of mine that i always had zero apr when buying their phones and used to trade every year. Now i will wait like ordinary people and keep my phone for more years. How were the fold 4 and 5 ? I had the 3 for a year and a half and traded it in. Got rid of that money monster. The inside screen cracked, the inner screen protector came off, the battery sucked had to charge it 2, sometimes 3 times a day. Now two generations later are people still dealing with this same crap?

That's why I at least wait 2 or 3 years until thinking about getting a new phone because you get more improvements that are considered worth it other than jumping year to year to new devices 😅 even with the flip devices I was hoping they'd at least give them a 50 mp camera with the flip 5 but who knows how long that will take for such an upgrade lol

Any watch can look good but if it don't perform good what's the point. Never had a lag issue on my Ultra can't say the same for my Classic.

Yea but why not take a design that already exists and make it better,isn’t that what Apple does? Nothing Apple does is original. So if Samsung is borrowing from Apple and making things better and more useful then I’m all for it. Because Apple makes one small change that they copied from other manufacturers and people lose their minds! As if Apple invented it and made it better lol

Im still using the fold 3 only problem i had it needed a new screen protector for the inside screen i just hope the fold 6 is a big upgrade if not I'll be keeping it for one more year as for the watch I'll keep my 6 classic as for the buds think I'll keep my buds plus works fins for me still hard to give up 10 hours of music

This video is well warranted. Samsung does indeed want to take a lot of Apple qualities. I blame the CEO TM Roh. I will not be buying the Fold 6. Samsung needs to get their mojo back. Change the CEO. Do what you need to do, but Samsung has changed. They lost their innovation.
