The thing I think people dont' talk about enough is do any of us want to live in a world where Apple's system wins? Open standards keep the world competitive and we all need options instead of a closed ecosystem with your only choice is size or color. I've been a fanatic of both sides, but at this point just want an even playing field where real innovation wins.

The argument of "multi tasking" as being Androids only defense is SO dated. Android has evolved to be MUCH MORE than that. The software is so much more polished, coupled with companies like Samsung making an EXCELLENT ecosystem. My galaxy tab s6 works well with my z flip 5, my buds live, and my galaxy watch 4, devices that have different gaps in releases and works FINE to this day. I wish people would be honest and admit that they like Apple cause their friends got it. Like, thats a valid excuse but it doesnt mean that its BETTER

Misinformation, marketing, kids, walled garden, legacy. Those are the real reasons Apple dominates in the US. They don't innovate anymore, and every premier feature they've released in recent years has come from the competition.... the hardware (besides processor) is behind and, if apple users were honest, they have the same hiccups with software. Apple has won over the youth with misinformation, and yesterdays misinformed youth is who drives todays smartphone market. They do make it hard to leave and as we see with the current lawsuits being filed by whole countries their business practices are calculated and decidedly underhanded. In androids early days apple was able to establish the notion of Android being an inferior product (and back then it was) and Android hasnt done a good job at showing how times have changed as the software has changed and experience has grown positive. Owning both I can say my current Android (S24U) shits on my 15PM in so many ways. There are things I can do on the S24 that you cant do anywhere in the Apple ecosystem and that spells win for me. Samsung has beaten apple since the Notee 20 series imo.

I agree with much of this video, EXCEPT where the abuse of Apple's Ecosystem deliberately degridates text photo & video quality from Android friends to Apple users. You're suppose to be better by making a superior product & service, NOT by degrading interactions between competitors. I'm also a huge advocate for "right to repair" legislation, allowing anyone to easily perform repairs & obtain parts for Apple products, just as they can for all Android & Microsoft. IMO.

The eco system conversation is nice but when you use your iphone as a solo product it is behind android, features we had on android always appear years later for iphone. Ease of usage is also way easier on android than iphone, it is a misconception that IOS is easy to use, things are all over the place and buttons and gestures are not common with in each app.

The S23 ultra also failed me with random lag when I needed it most.. "I'm just a fan of tech, I'm not a fan of a brand." This is the best line in this video! I use Android phones, Ipad, Windows, and Linux on Raspberry Pi. I use what works best for the task I am using it for. I disagree from personal experience on some of your points, but the fact you acknowledge your bias makes all the difference. I used to be more bias on tech than I am now. HP printers used to be the best you could get, then they went to trash. This killed 90% of my bias, so now I test things. I tried both Android Auto and Apple Car Play, and hated car play. I tried both Android tablets and Ipad and hated the tablets. Saying one brand is better because of the brand is simply short sighted and wrong. Apple IS doing better because bias and not because they are actually better. This was a good video ONLY if you watch all of it! Nice job.

Nice video. Thanks, I feel it the same. Also, notice that Samsung, the champion of Android, is a mixture of 3 app ecosystems by default: Samsung, Google, and Microsoft apps. For example, people who would prefer to use primarily Google apps on Samsung are forced to sync Samsung Gallery photos to Microsoft OneDrive because there is no option to seamlessly sync them to Google Drive. It is simply not possible to fully align the app ecosystem on Samsung, as Samsung does not want its users to switch entirely to Google apps, as the 2 companies are competitors. It is a pity.

Samsung and Apple ship about the same amount of phones each year. One quarter Apple will do more, the other quarter Samsung. That's where the comparison really ends.... on top of that you get billions of android users that use deviced from other companies. Worldwide there are 3 times more Android users. In pc land the landslide is even worse.... 72% for Windows, 20% for MacOS. The US is only a small part of the world and even if everyone in the US would be using an iPhone or a Mac, Android and Windows would still be dominating the market worldwide. I don't care what someone uses and these debates get old and tiresome. You have to stop having this tunnel vision that the USA is the world, that's not the case. Look at the bigger scope, look mondial. While I do see the appeal of the iPhone, that whole elderly argument just doesn't make sense. More elderly people in the world are Android users and they just do fine. Yes, the iPhone is part of an interesting ecosystem, but since Windows dominates the pc market, for a lot it's a useless ecosystem, since Apple refuses to play well with other systems. Samsung has a way more sophisticated ecosystem, one that's ahead of the Apple ecosystem and integrates with more than Samsung only devices. I've tried the Apple ecosystem, but when it's time to upgrade, it's just so expensive and getting more and more expensive. I'm an artist, working digital and traditional. Digital art technology evolves rapidly. While my M1 iPad or MacBook are functioning fine still, they're in need of an update every 2-3 years to keep up with software and other hardware developments. The same counts for an Android tablet and Windows laptop/pc. In my line of business upgrades are needed at least every 3 years. My digital artworks did fine with 4-8Gb of RAM 6-8 years ago. Then it became 8-16 and new I need 16-32Gb to finish a project comfortably... on the PC side at least. On my tablet I need at least 8Gb these days. Beginning of this year I had to upgrade. A MacBook with 32Gb of RAM or more costs a fortune. Even than it's lacked serious GPU power to get the job done. Upgrading my 12.9" M1 8Gb RAM iPad Pro to a 16Gb RAM model costs another fortune and rumor has it that the new iPad Pro will have crazy prices, but let's stick with the M2 model. The MacBook Pro will cost €4000 with M3 Max and 36Gb or RAM. I'm going to swap the 12.9" iPad for a 11" Pro model with 16Gb of RAM to save some money and it will be €2000. That's €6000 and I don't even have a phone yet. To save a little money, I'm going with a Mac Studio instead of a MacBook Pro and that will cost me €3350 for a 64Gb RAM model and 1Tb of storage. Instead of €6000, I'm only paying €5350... no iPhone yet. I'm going to do the same for Windows and Android. A Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra (though I know the S9 FE+ with 12Gb RAM will be fine and only costs €729), since that's the only one with 16GB of RAM, it's €1600, but I've got a huge screen now, 14.6", too large for travel. A pc with 64Gb and dedicated GPU and 14 core i7 costs me €1200, just build one earlier this year. That's €2800, almost half price. If I go for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 11" with 12Gb of RAM, which I know is enough, the price drops to €2049 and theoretically I could go over €100 lower with the FE model, which has enough power for what I do. I could use an iPad air, but they don't come with more than 8Gb or RAM. €5350 vs €2049... that choice was easily made earlier this year... bye bye Apple Ecosystem. Sure, some people will use their hardware longer than 3 years, but if you're in productivity and creation, 3 years is the max. No matter how good Apple products may be, they're just too expensive.

I'm afraid to say that CJ has made a lot of valid points. My mother could use the iPhone I gave her, but when I replaced it with a flagship Android phone she barely touched it... was using Android Auto for several years, but Apple CarPlay is extremely well implemented... what I truly missed once I went to Android devices and opted for Windows-based computers was the ecosystem and the seamless app integration. That ecosystem is a huge positive, but for me it's not the only positive. The typical bias across different platforms will ALWAYS creep into the debate, no matter what we say or do. No one is forced to stay within ANY platform or ecosystem. I still use a few Android-based devices(Sony/Android TV, Nest Hub, Nest Doorbells, Nest Cameras, Nest Protect Smoke/CO Alarms, speakers, and lights), but just like anything there may be a chance of products losing support over time.

I used android since they came out. I’ve had an iPhone for 3 years. The few times I’ve tried to go back it hasn’t been as good. The apps integrate directly with the cameras and the cameras are consistently almost the best. Sometime a Samsung phone or pixel can create better photos but it is an inconsistent experience. Pixel would be my android choice but they have terrible cell signal.

The real freaking reason why I switched and now rocking an iPhone 13 is because my last Samsung phone I tried was a s20fe, great fun phone, had it from March 2023 to august 2023, until it never received ANY updates, not even one, never got andriod 13 and was stuck on andriod 12 I contacted Samsung support and they said they couldn't HELP me at all because it was with the carrier, apparently even if the phone is unlocked it has to be FULLY unlocked not an unlocked and payed off unit, so apparently it's a stupid phone carrier that updates!! Now real reason why I say Samsung doesn't update there phones is because they don't care about there customers who are having issues When I jumped to an SE 2020 I got iOS 17 on day of release and it felt good and nice!! Anyways I'm loving my iPhone 13 so freaking much

Getting to settings, swipe, hit gear, done. customization, android wins hands down. apple? Try being a gamer? No diablo, most games on steam are a no go, most games on epic, no chance, etc. Assistant? android stomps the ground with siri. apple car play and android are equal. organization, so much easier. Screen isn't always cluttered with all the apps, like apple. I had a 4 k screen on my LG-g3 almost a decade before apple got it on their phone. The list can go on,. bigger on phone storage, equal cloud storage, faster processor, USB type C (we've had it for 5 years now and you only just got it). Funny, in the 15 years or so I have used android, I've never needed any customer service for anything.

Keyboards. As per an ecosystem I wouldn't feel comfortable having all my devices sharing the same data.

I'm still using my Note10 plus but looking to upgrade to an IPhone15 PM/ 16PM soon. Customer service is major criteria for me that must be met. There's so much whackness with Samsung customer support. Reps aren't on the same page with inconsistent statements and are just all over the place. Without customers they wouldn't be Samsung. They have a lot of third party people handling their trade-in phone program and it can be very hard at times to get a hold of them. I've heard and read a lot of horror stories about their customer service. Also there's no Samsung store close to me. Closest one in SoCal is Glendale and I'm in south Orange County, over an hour away. I pass by many Apple Stores just to get to that 1 Samsung store. Sorry to rant but just sharing my random 2 cents.

If you are only using your phone to check emails, do social media, and take a few pictures, then it doesn’t really matter which phone you get. If those are your main uses for a smart phone, everything else is just tribalism. But if you are a parent, power user, or a creative, the iPhone is objectively better. I’ve had an Android phone, tablet, and a PC laptop and desktop. I also have an iPhone, iPad Pro, iPad mini, Apple Watch, and MacBook Pro. The experience on iOS is FAR superior. Here’s a list of my objective reasons for why I prefer iPhone: 1. No bloatware on an iPhone, ever. 2. Parental controls and privacy are way better for iPhone 3. The Apple ecosystem is absolutely unmatched. With just the native Apple apps, I can start a note in Apple notes on my phone and finish them on any of my other Apple devices or vice versa. That works for Notes, Reminders, Keynote, Pages, Numbers (even though Microsoft Excel is the absolute goat of spreadsheet programs), or any of the native apps. 4. My iPhone has never had a virus like my android phones have on several occasions. Chalk this up to the bloatware and the open system on Android. 5. The resale value of Apple devices simply can’t be matched on Android currently. Buying an Apple device is certainly a more premium price, but selling or trade-ins make it well worth it. It’s like buying a Lexus or Mercedes and then trading it in. Those cars hold their value. 5. Apple home is a much better user experience than the android equivalent. 6. Apple CarPlay is better than Android Auto. 7. The privacy of asking apps not to track on iOS is better than what you currently get on Android. 8. Being able to bounce a FaceTime call from my MacBook Pro to my iPad or my phone is great. And being able to answer a regular voice call on my MacBook when I’m at my desk and don’t have my phone nearby is absolutely fantastic. 9. Android has significantly more customizability than an iPhone does, but I actually prefer the more simplistic and minimalist approach. I’m one of the weirdos who think that’s more elegant than a bunch of clutter. It’s the difference between diamonds and rhinestones. 10. Family sharing and the Apple services like Apple Fitness is massively underrated. And also when Apple used to have iTunesU, content major universities all over the globe FOR FREE! You could take the exact same course at Harvard that Harvard students themselves were taking on campus. Obviously wasn’t the same experience, but the syllabus and the content were there. People totally slept on iTunesU. I saved the best for last 11. This is perhaps my biggest reason for iOS over Android. As a musician, making music on an Apple device is FAR superior than anything Android is doing. You can make pro quality recordings with the apps you get on an iOS device. The apps are more stable, the sounds are better for the VST’s, and you can do an entire gig with no hiccups with a keyboard controller and an iPad. I could never do that on my Galaxy Tab S9. Photo editing is significantly better, too. And all of the Apple v Android debate, nobody ever mentions stuff like the stability of iOS for music production, the services, or other things I mentioned just do a KZbin search of “music production on iPad close “and “music production on android” there’s simply no comparison

you could have lead with the end...i know I know views, minutes watched, etc etc,. but really at this point in the game it's preference. My wife had an iPhone for a couple years... watch and all.. she had problems with things breaking after their "seamless" updates.. apps not working, last watch connectivity... etc etc, she didn't like having to go to an apple store for support and standing in line for things that you could easily fix in android... yeah its in person but it consumes more time.. she had problem getting carplay to work at times..the devices were more expensive... the problems weren't unique to apple products... and that was the problem.. premium product... same issues. For me, I'm not into the ecosystem thing so much.. having all your eggs in one basket... not the way I like to go. I prefer some segmentation in my products but can work together where I choose for them to. and for that, i'd like my products to work the same with whatever systems I choose. I like to choose what software I use on the PC and not worry about if it's mac compatible (interesting that's the opposite of the app situation). I'm not a social butterfly, so I don't use facebook, Instagram snapchat or tik tok heavily if at all I don't have chat groups... so it's a different use case for me and the iPhone people I know... and just to get it because "everyone else has it" ... not a valid reason for me... and you want to talk communication? I used to carry nextel and blackberry's. Yes, Apple beat them out when I was telling iPhone users that my blackberry had the feature they just got for years.... .... but there is nothing that iPhone uniquely offers me that I would use. Family... android has that.. screen time limits, app limits, location, contacts, sharing .. yada yada..... been using it for years.. yes, there is Bias, but there is also use case, marketing, and peer pressure.

Bro, let's just put our cards on the table. Because of Apple's strategic marketing targeting young people/teenagers, the large majority of iPhone users are young people/teenagers whose parents bought them iPhones because it's a fashion trend, i.e., so they can have the appearance of being wealthy to their friends, not because they were making an informed buying decision. That's why Apple has dominated the U.S. market. But when it comes to functionality, personal customization, smart things, multi-tasking, and Samsung Dex, which are the things that matter, Samsung/Android smashes Apple/iPhone, period! 😂😂😂
@steve9377
@steve9377 3 ай бұрын
Neither smashes. They both have their pro and cons. But as an iPhone user who was looking to possibly switch to a S24 Plus, I was taken back by the fact that with all their "functionality" you cant even switch the preferred network type to LTE anymore on current Samsung phones. They force you to use 5G preferred. That and they're stuffed with bloatware.
@contendforthefaithbysamuel4546
@contendforthefaithbysamuel4546 3 ай бұрын
@steve9377 Let's look at the side-by-side comparison. With the iPhone camera, you can't even pause a video while you're recording. With Samsung's Director's View, you can not only pause but change to multiple viewing angles while recording! Also, Samsung's camera has the 100x zoom with zoom lock feature, which allows you to take pictures of anything from several blocks away with incredible clarity! 2. Next-level personal customization with Samsung's phones that you simply can't do with an iPhone! 3. Next-level split-screen multitasking features allow you to use multiple apps simultaneously, which is also a game-changing feature iPhones still don't have, even in 2024! 4. Samsung Dex, which allows you to turn any TV or monitor into a laptop wirelessly, is a game-changing feature that iPhones can't do. 5. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with next-level AI features includes: Advanced vapor chamber cooling system, personal AI-generated wallpapers, circle to search, language translation on live calls, person AI photo editing, and much more! 6. Seven years of software and security updates with Samsung's phones!!!! All of these game-changing features that iPhones lack are why Samsung smashes iPhone!!! Any objective person can't deny these facts!!!
