Hi, great vids iv used and learned a lot thx. do you know anything about the loading screens I'm trying to make a Viking one after the show? but for the hell of me, I can't seem to do it any ideas? iv looked everywhere on the net with no luck seems there are not many tutorials on modding the game :(

I have a question, I've been trying to merge to separate mods together on hoi4, the only problem is that you cant change the custom game rules even though all there files are there, how do you fix this?

Do you know where I can find the prestige levels and piety level ? Like "medium_piety_level" I want to know how it's called all levels. Other thing is, there is anyway to verify in is_shown and is_valid to only appear to a specific culture not only faith ?

Quick question: I wanted to change the cooldown of a decision, but in the decision file it didn't have the cooldown as days = ??? but a variable like "standard_feast_cooldown_time". I can't find the variable defined locally do you know where they stored the standard cooldown times? I wanted a character to be really into hunting so I wanted to be able to take the hunt decision more often.

Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\game\common\script_values\00_activity_values.txt But you don't need me to tell you that, just fire up Notepad++, open the search function ---> Find in files, point it to the common folder and you find it yourself.

For those who wanna make their own dynasty it's very simple so it'll make a very short so I'll show you here. Step 1: Making folder add in your common folder 2 new folder called dynasties and dynasty_houses (optional: you can add custom coat of arms and character to assign to your dynasty but The Iron Workshop already cover those so check the video for yourself) (for example check the top of every picture on step 2 for the file pathway) Step 2: Coding imgur.com/gallery/NMEfqHv Step 3: Profit PS: I also figure how to make a culture but it take a bit of work so I'll let him make a video which would make it a whole lot easier to to understand than what I could possibly show y'all

@@lazyleona5527 nice nice, but i already have made plenty of new dynasties and characters for my mod. But cant figure out what im doing wrong with my custom religions im making. (Fx. Can see parts of their right doctrines in game, their logo. Also cannot give characters it as a faith from the start.) For cultures i have created they all so under powered bcs they come with 0 innovations, and i cant figure out how to give them some. (my starting age is the 1060)

@@andreaskristensen2862 check the game history folder for culture , and take one culture as template and edit innovations as you like, that should fix your culture problem, I'm currently working on religion so can't help on that rn

Just made my own religion I think your doctrine problem is because some doctrine have specific requirements so some won't probably work depending on what kind of religion your aiming to make And you probably didn't tag your character religion properly so check all the tags again and she if there's any mismatch

Please do a new (2024) video for how to do mods in CK3. It's already different from this. I tried it the way you said, and the path isn't the same in the launcher, but after I figured it out, it still didn't create the folder for the mod only the descriptor(?). And so I tried what a different video suggested and just copied a completed mod so that I could then edit THAT (the way you suggest) but doing it that way also didn't include a folder. Steam or Paradox changed something significant, and I can't figure out the way around it. Please help. Thanks.

It's not that hard to do. Go into the localization and find titles. Copy it. Go into cultures. Find a culture like roman and copy. Doing this gives you a template. It's similar to the new title creation.

Might need to create the culture in the culture folder, either new culture group or modify existing, there should be code in the convert to local culture decision that can turn your character into the culture at realm capital, change the culture from (whatever at realm capital) to your new culture

Means that your effect is not being seen by the game, paste the code here, maybe there is a missing bracket you forgot to close
