I hope you all enjoy my first ck2-stellaris mega campaign from 476-2413. This is probably my longest and most tedious project, using 5 games, 65 hours of game footage, and another 10 hours of rendering and getting a workaround for one of the converters, as well as creating the stellaris world using custom nations. Well, never say never. With the new Ck2 dlc (It has yet to come but can be pre-ordered) there will be a new game-rule designed to massively prevent border-gore. It would be very interesting a Ck2-Stellaris Time-laps with this new rule enforced.

Identitools sadly I didn’t realize there was anything I could do, because of how the converter allows formable nations this usually happens. Since I don’t play vic2 much I don’t really mod/ mess around with it, later on after I posted the video someone did say I could delete the formable nations folder, which I will do in the future. Or you can force the issue with a favor which can make them give you a wife/concubine even cross religion. Got the only daughter of the shia caliph as my persian concubine that way once. actually Khosrow II of Sassanids Empire married the daughter of emperor Maurice of Byzantine empire, so it did happened before.

Benyamin A Yeah I did realize that, and it is already in the game if you start at 600 with this mod. However, know that they married because Khosrow was heir to the empire and was exiled after a rebellion took the crown. Maurice married him to his daughter and supplied soldiers to retake the throne. This would have created peace if Phocas had's overthrown Maurice and executed him, which was the reason conflict resumed.

The stellaris part was kinda odd if you ever decide to do it again I would pick a winning alliance from HoI4 and only use them in the stellaris part since a bunch of human nations from earth spawning all of the galaxy is weird looking was still fun to watch but that be my only complaint. look like the AI still can't deal with late game crisis at all still RIP

I decided to make the stellaris part like a battle royale as it would make a good ending, on the note of just the winner, I thought they would die early and in my test run China was just killed off. So this was the best way to make sure the nations were alive, also I tried the hoi4 to stellaris converter but it didn’t really work and only converted 4 nations. So I thought this was the best way to use the stellaris part and keep the countries (only majors from hoi4) still in. Cheers!

Well, HOI mechanics won't fare well with modern day geopolitics, too much focus on warfare. Indeed, some kind of Vicky - CK2 combination would be better (complex economy and focus on personal interactions, not much warfare)

Because of how the eu4 to vic2 converter works, it allows people with certain land to make certain nations (like the german federation and the Two Sicilies). So it isn’t seeable but when I converted Rome was still time and England was still saasana, but they on day 1 formed new nations. (I maybe could have fixed this by deleting the formable nations folder, but I did not know this at the time). Sorry, about that, cheers!

(Constructive criticism, not trying to hate) I Wish that you would mod your converted Saves at lest a little, it's frustrating to see stupid things like, A Irish superpower renaming itself to England, The Roman Empire remaning itself to a southern Italian minor that didn't exist in this timeline, Two nations with the same freaking color. While I would also like you to also remove border gore by readjusting borders, that is the lest of my concerns compared to the other things I just mention. It wouldn't hurt to learn to mod at lest a bit just to improve your mega campains, I always find these(Including yours) Fun, but stuff like I mentioned kinda ruin it for me, especially didn't help when you named the irish and the roman Empire the wrong names in Stellaris when the things that happened in Vicy 2 were a mistake. Modding these converted games, even in the smallest of ways, in the right places can greatly improve this

+Fun No, That is not how it works. that is not 100% the point. I know the AI does that on it's own, I'm not some idiot, The AI doing that on it's own is the problem. Do you really think people enjoy bordergore? No, they don't. Most people enjoy somewhat of a story to these timelapses and rome forming two sicilies is immersion breaking. "and what is the fun of watching a mega campaign that every change in a game is player made?" It's not every change, it's small adjustments that improve the over all mega campaign, not the player controlling every single nation, It's just modding it enough where it's more enjoying and more realistic. After all, Dovska did that with his mega campaign series and it's more interesting than the bordergore hell you usually get(Though this game managed to clear up most of it in EU4, at lest in Europe), and it has some actual story to it(Not that I expect a timelapse to have one but it should at lest be interptable as somewhat of a semi-realistic alternate timeline and the other things I've stated make it hard for it to be interpted as so.)

Also, in a since WRE survived until space colonization, but later finally died, ending the original western side of Rome. On a side note, if you count East Rome as one of the original Roman nation (which I do), That means Rome has been going for almost 3000 years. (being founded in 700 BC), if East Rome can survive 'till 2700, Rome would be around for 3000 years.

In a normal timelapse I would, but because they all lost to the chinese faction, they were all democratic. (In the beginning there is only democratic and something called authoritative, for some reason but the factions were already from vic2 and didn’t really have to do with ideology). Idk I’ll try to put it in for the future at least with one screenshot. Cheers!

Honestly I feel like the HOI4 part always kinda ruins it since whatever nation that happens to be where Germany is supposed to be is pretty much guaranteed to crush their neighbors regardless of whatever else is going on.

Actually in this Germany was quite weak, the main power was China who has well over 600 divisions to the German 100 by the end. They were just allies so the Germans seemed to be pushing when it was Chinese troops. Idk they still did well which is normal and kind of sucks for some people. Sorry about that, cheers!

I was originally going to include them but they weren’t very interesting, at the beginning the alliance of mali was a mod converted ideology called authoritarian, the Chinese and the Indian (alliance was democratic), that was basically most of the world. By the end most of the countries were democratic as the Chinese forced ideology and a few were left authoritarian who didn’t get the forced ideology. Idk why but the vic2 to hoi4 converter only had those 2 (authoritarian and democratic) with no other ideologies idk. So that’s why I did not put them in, cheers!

There is, it came out on January 30th, but it has been very buggy and only converts a few countries. It also wasn’t working fully when I was making this video. A patch has recently been added so I may do a timelapse of that in the future. But I thought the battle royale in stellaris would be better than nothing. Cheers!

In HOI4 what ideology do you make them all, and how come they never change? And why starting factions? Why do they start out at war?

Good question, the converter doesn’t convert the vic2 factions very well, so usually all the countries start out as a faction called conservative and never switch. This means they don’t declare war and nothing happens, so the only way to mend this is to create the closest to far starting factions so something actually happens. It a bit weird but that’s what the converter does. Idk

I thought one country would conquer the world in the HOI4 phase, and then create an interstellar empire.

I was originally going to do this, but after a test run the country (China) died to another empire, so I decided the only way to make sure the converted country/countries survived would be to make stellaris like battle royale and put all the major powers into it. It was the best decision in my opinion as it would allow all the major one more shot and would be similar to a final battle. Sorry if you didn’t like it, :(

I like how in 1936 you can see how wrong everything is. China controls India and indochina as well as some american land. India is in siberia. Italy hasnt formed even though there is only 1 italian state. And russia is just... oh God...

Hey dude, how did you get the eu4 to vic2 converter to work, since it’s not updated for the latest version of eu4, unless you used an older version of eu4 compatible for the converter.

I used the converter from ck2 which of course puts eu4 into 1.23 so I could not convert it to vic2. I decided then to open up 1.22 with one of my older ck2 converted games and spend 3 and 1/2 hours recreating the world using custom nations. It took a lot of time but I got all the borders right and it was kind of fun. (I made a video about this but in the I recreated the beginning using custom nations, but I decided recreating the end of the 1.23 eu4 part would be far more accurate. Though the eu4 to vic2 converter should be updated soon (that’s at least what the developer said). Hope that help (I converted the 1.22 custom nation world). Anyway thanks for watching, cheers!

WonderProductions wow that was so much work, yeah it just got updated two days ago, but so far it’s really buggy, I tried it last night, but whenever you try to load a save in your converted game, it’ll crash vic2, so idk if it’s worth using the new update or recreating the borders like you said.

Put the HOI4 Human Civilizations as Empires in Stellaris was not a good idea imo. Would have been better if you grab what seems to have conquered the world (China) and made it the Human Empire, with all the others being randomly generated
