Fashion is something that I love but at the same time, I don't see the reflection of my love into a brand. I am never satisfied with the values and what the brand do about it. Minimalist helps me to find my love of fashion into simple clothes and second hand products Also I found minimalist in fashion when I started creating my own clothes. I treasure more something that I made !

I liked the video and I absolutely agree with that no label wearing thing. But Margiela's stuff is ridiculously expensive for that who is really a minimalist and not a fashionista. Minimalism is not about highend stuff, I think.

It made me think that is kind of the same philosophy than the Japanese brand Muji, which litterally means "No brand" - and they indeed don't have labels either. I like the concept of these kinds of videos ! Keep up this great great work, I always look forward to the release of your new videos :)

As a self-described minimalist, I wear lots of Black clothing and beige linens similar to the reasons you mentioned. On the other hand, I keep my room and the few pieces of furniture and decor in it white or with wooden accents. I love how everyone chooses their own approach to colour systems in minimalism. What’s everyone else’s approach?

Takeaways: 🖤 🤍 1. Make use with what you have (be resourceful) 2. Remove focus from the designer, bring it back to the garment 3. Use anonymity to create intrigue 4. White creates a clean feeling for better focus (at least in work) 5. Even anti-branding can be a sort of branding 6. Uniforms can eliminate hierarchy if everyone wears it 7. Don't stress too much about removing labels, they are on everything

The mask part is so beautiful and conceptually resonant with today's culture, which can be so obsessed with concepts such as perfection, status, etc. Removing the visual temptation of a face to enter another level of thinking as a metaphorical boundary towards focusing on something else, something unknown, something less referential. A clean slate, a mystery.

I am making my own uniform (as my wardrobe) since I've decided to become a minimalist. As time goes by, if I want to have a little variety of style in everyday dressing, I should re-consider and adjust my wardrobe might be. Which I resonate a lot in this video is: when you are lazy to think, you have some uniform outfit (as default), but keep choices when sometimes you want to change the style (but keep it to the bare minimum). That's the THOUGHT I'm considering recently!! To have the wardrobe with minimum choices, I can keep choosing the outfit very effectively, but without losing flexibility. (and JOY exactly, sometimes fashion brings me joy. 😄) You just made my thought into words. Thanks for sharing the idea about fashion. Cheers! 🍻

I love the philosophy stuff. The idea of minimalism and capitalism of any kind presents quite a conundrum, which can be seen in the development of that simple tag into a design statement that probably costs a lot to buy, when you can purchase an inexpensive, simple tshirt from a thrift store any time you want. I like reflecting on that kind of thing. How to have the fashion sense I want within my sustainable and frugal minimalist intent.

So, is it too much to hope that you are going to discuss other maison in future videos? Helmut Lang next, perharps? PS: if anybody want to learn more about Margiela's design, you could watch Bliss Foster's series on Margiela's runaway shows here in KZbin. He is kinda problematic but you could learn one or two things from him.

It's ckspace wednesday again! I love how understated a simple shirt is but with a few tricks, it can be the most luxurious as well. I tried incorporate ckspace's philosphy in my wardrobe. As an example, i got rid of all my shirts that were not of a solid color. These days i only wear white, gray , black and brown. I always look put together because of the change. I also got rid of my worn out clothing and replaced it with higher quality pieces from uniqlo(similar what ck wears)🤣 Im a girl btw🤣🤣🤣 Tho i started with minimalism only last year, i can say that it has impacted my life deeply and cheng's video helped out alot.
