I’ve never used VViVid and have only tinted relatively flat taillights - they came out great but, how come you can keep picking up the film without leaving a ‘fog’ or glue line on the transparent film? If I lifted I had to start over

I failed tinting the lights on my RX 350, similiar agressive lines of this rav4, plus it has a shark fin like the GS and IS. I think your method here will help me out a lot. Thanks for the tips!

❤ I am learning and very determined. I gave a 2012 Toyota Camry that I am trying to detail out the "taxi" look. Head/tail lights, fog lights and different spoilers. I screwed up taillights by using too much heat and wet solution.... But I will get it!

Great video once again. I watched all your taillight tint videos but I think the hardest light to do is on a Lexus GS 350 or Lexus gsf because they have two shark fins on the side of the light which make it impossible to wrap. I tried so many times and failed. If you could get that car and do a demonstration of how you handle the install or even if it’s possible to do. That would be so much help!!!

Awesome! Thank God nothing I own has such aggressive lights so if I were to tint them it'd be theoretically easy

Really awesome video, thanks very much for taking the time to share your expertise. A quick question and sorry if I missed this in the video: 1. What was the purpose of the knifeless tape? In another light tinting video of yours on the basic lights you didn't use the knifeless, just the hobby knife. I'm trying to better understand when to use the knifeless? Is it just a different way of trimming the vinyl to fit the light and provides cleaner lines on complex shapes? In what scenario do u use knifeless vs. craft knife to trim? 2. It seems like wrapping the light while ON the car is the easiest way to get the best results, that sound accurate? Thanks again for your help, appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions if you can. Thank you!

I’m trying to wrap 2019 Chevy Bolt taillights right now. Not going well. Have you done one of those before First time wrapping taillights. First time using Vvivid tint vinyl. Looking at this video looks like I’m not stretching enough over the top where it’s bunched up and I can’t work it out.
@sssiod4 жыл бұрын
I’ve attempted now 5 times. I got really close the last time so it’s an incremental success. These lights have two concave curves on the long side and hard corner at the top. I got a bubble trapped in the lower concave part and when I went to pushed it out it popped through the film leaving a wrinkle and what looks like a little cut. Then wrinkles around the top corner that wouldn’t shrink out enough. Almost did it.

Im not sure what is the knifeless tape for? and why it was only used on the edge between the light and paint, and not the space between the two light sections. Is it to protect any damage from the blade?
@Hbaxster2 жыл бұрын
The knife less tape was to exclude the black section of the tail light. He wanted to tint only the red and leave the black part of the light bare.
