I installed a door wet and told them it stuck fine and looked incredible; They responded it would fail and we refused to install it dry due to how terrible the glue lines were. We ended up wrapping his vehicle in CCube; china blue

​@@CKWrapsNotes from CK: Ah yes, we did have some in the colorfusion workshop. I’ve been recommending Tack Reducer. Applying Tack Reducer will help minimize the lift / tack lines. Also, the type of buffer that they’re using is important. I generally use the Monkey Strip buffers, but I doubled them up to soften the impact from the squeegee. This seemed to help minimize the squeegee lines but there could be better options for buffers on the market. Something thick with a lot of padding is what I would recommend. Flexishield has the exact same issue, and when I was at SEMA their head installer / trainer had doubled up his buffer which helped a lot. I’ll experiment with some different buffers when I get some more of the gloss colorfusion. In the meantime that’s the best advice I can offer. --- I wish i knew we could do it wet. My customer really wanted the colorfusion. Oh well; I stopped offering colorfusion after my experience; might have to offer kt again

@@brentjohnson8057 yes, at the time there was no adequate testing done on wet installing the film. Therefor nobody could guarantee the longevity or results. After finding out that the new version of Flexishield could be installed wet or dry, I decided to test it properly with Colorfusion. The testing actually shows that the material bonds even better when it's wet installed. Not that it's necessary for it to bond stronger.

It's much more pliable than regular vinyl because this is TPU.

some drops of baby shampoo on water does the trick, its being used by sing makers for window graphics since I have memory, or if you want to you can always buy a pre mix from many brands offering slip / application solutions and they also offer tack , tack is isopropanol or alcohol and water .

Is there a reason why you don't use 30degree blades ? or you just don't mind/ feel the difference ? just curious , I prefer them and I thought everyone did hah, great video, as always

I switched to the 50 degree blades because I prefer them when it comes to cutting and trimming TPU. I get a much better and more stable cut due to this type of film being much harder to cut.

Knowing how to install is important. The products are never horrible unless they break down in a very short time. However, that never happens these days, not with advancements in technology. Blaming a product because it might be difficult to use is not the products fault.
