Why P3, because you have manganese? What if you dont? Why would you use one of p1 - p6?

Also why did the amounts change from 10.8 lbs and 7.2 minutes to 13.5lbs and 9 minutes .. is there some averaging you do to use a higher number?

Yes, P3 is if you have iron and or manganese. If you don't then P2 is the default. P1 if your water isn't very hard or if you have water usage concerns. P5 or P6 would be used if you have iron and or manganese and water concerns. You would experiment with those for that somewhat unique situation to see what compromise is best.

Good Catch! The 13.5 lbs and 9 minutes are incorrect, it should be 10.8 lbs and 7.2 minutes.

Can I use Clack valves to replace the ripoff Rainsoft crap in my house? I swear this company is fleecing me. A water softener shouldn’t cost $7,500.00 and service shouldn’t be $228.00 to replace a simple filter.

Yes, you are correct those are ridiculous prices. You can replace that water softener with a Clack valved one for less then 1/4 of that price here waterestore.com/products/hum-deluxe-water-softener-30-000-grain

@@water_estore I figured it’d only be 1/4th the cost! They got me good back then because I was a new homeowner with zero knowledge. They are a predatory company.
