I got this game a few weeks ago. I am really enjoying it but I haven't even played the difficult side yet. Really enjoying your videos. My games I enjoyed in the last few weeks are: Clank!, Adventure Land, Roll Player, and Harry Potter Deck Builder.

This was awsome. Wanting to get (back) into tabletop gaming I recently joined /boardgames on reddit. I saw a picture of Clank, googled it, and ended up here. I figured I'd quickly gauge if this was for me or not, and be out in a second, but to be honest it never crossed my mind to close the tab. You guys are great. The commentary is fun and engaging and you are good at conveying (?) the drama, tension and flair that seems to be Clank. I'm getting it for sure. +1 The Dane.

At 28:43 the dragon should have gone one step up (Because you too the egg token) which is explained later on. But if you take the dragon egg, you must immediatly advance the dragon *before* the next filling of the clanks cards.

Recently subbed to your channel, and I love that you are a couple and both have a love of board games. My wife plays only a few games (Catan, Ticket to Ride, or family games). I wish she'd play other games that are a bit heavier, but she has no interest in anything that requires too much strategy. So, I enjoy watching you guys play and then talk about board games. I do have three teenage boys at home and two of them play the heavier games from time to time. This game, Clank!, looks like one I'll be able to get to the table. I had a Euro gamer with whom I play games regularly cal, Clank! "Candyland" but he is kind of a gamer snob...lol.

I just played this yesterday for the first time. I didn't think I would like it. But it was surprisingly a lot of fun doesn't hurt that I had 112 and won a 4 player game.

What's the replay ability on this like?

I feel like this game may have a potential game design flaw. A player could just kinda stay near the top and just collect nothing but coins and also a couple of the treasures at the top and then just leave. At that point the other players would more than likely have gone down quite a bit deeper and would maybe not have a chance to get out in time or collect anything worthwhile. But then again I'm not too sure as I have never played the game, but I could see it as being a potential strategy.

shawnieyang I haven't played it either but I can see where you're coming from. Reminds me of when I played Firefly and while most of us were flying all about, making improvements on our ship, gathering crew, etc. one guy did nothing but stay in one section and do local delivery quests. He had no improvements whatsoever and flew solo the whole time. He won. Sometimes grand scale looking games still just boil down to a simple strategy.

If you don't take an artifact in the duungeon you can't go out of the castle, most valuable artifact( 15-20-30 pt.) for victory are deeper in the dungeon. And if you die you lost everything. The strategy you say doesn't work in this game :)

From the rulebook: Teleport - Teleportation is a special form of movement that allows you to move to any room connected to your current room. You do not need to use Boots or fight any monsters in the tunnel. You can even use locked or one-way passages that you normally couldn’t. Remember that on the turn you enter a Crystal Cave room (by any means), you can’t use any Boots for the rest of the turn.

"Dead run" allows her to move through crystal caves since she paid 2 clank. However, at 36:00 I don't think the ladder would allow her to move out of the crystal caves since she moved into them the same turn.

Played it once, nobody died, but found clank just meh, it's too much a gimmick plus just another deck builder.
