The App really works well for the Solo variant on this! Though I do not own a copy of Clank, I really would like to get it. I like the idea of making noise as a mechanism.

In the setup video, I had asked about not having to use the app, but after seeing this one, it looks like the app really adds a lot to the game. I really like it!

For the solo it is a must! For multiplayer you don't need it, but you can use the app as well to add some flavor to your play!

is there a rule book for the app? i don't get the symbols meaning like i get add the cube but there is either an exclamation mark or an explosion mark afterwards and there is nothing that tells me what that means.

Aren't you supposed to refill the dungeon row before the enemy's turn (potentially triggering more dragon attacks during the game)?

You only refill at the end of your turn, that is when the dragon can attack! You don't refill, and then activate the app to discard more cards and refill again, that would be brutal!

I see, now I know why my solo play felt a bit unfair. :) It made sense to refill after mine and the app's turn as well, but I guess this way you can have a few more - much needed - lucky moments (that pesky dragon likes my cubes way too much).

Hmmmmm, great question!! It is not a "must have" until you get tired of the base game. To provide more replayability, the 2 additional boards (1 board, 2 sides) but it is for sure not a requirement. It just adds more of the same. Yeah the water mechanic is cool, but is not groundbreaking. Hope that helps!!

Oh yeah, it is not called Clank as it is a Renegade App. Look for Renegade app as it has applications for Fuse, Clank! and Lanterns.

In the regular game when you draw a cube of your color from the bag, that goes to the clank area and you put a cube of your color to your damage track from your reserve. is this a modified rule for the solo version you are using?

No, in the regular game you immediately put the one you drew from the bag ont othe damage track.

Thanks for watching! I have not played Clank in Space because I feel like it is silly to own both. Not even sure if you can play it solo. I hear you don't really need both, but if you love Clank! you won't go wrong with Clank! in Space. Hope that helps!

At the 13:15 I think you should discard the card that have the dragon attack symbol first so and then refill it. Then if it have a symbol then it attack.
