Mick is the man, incredible guy! I visited VP from New York City and he made me feel so welcomed and connected to the club. What a fantastic ambassador for Aston Villa! Thank you Mick!

Love the fact Mick used to go down the Blues when he was a kid because he was too young to go to Villa away. I was exactly the same. I just wanted to watch football, but just like Mick, my Bluenose mates wouldn't come down the Villa with me. I guess supporting Blues doesn't need you to actually like football 😉

Just when you think you cant Love Mick anymore he goes and does your podcast. Such a humble, genuine and honest person. Had a few chats with him over the years and always made you feel like you were special. One of the nicest people I have ever met and a true legend in my eyes. I wish you all the best for the future Mick and hope to see you at Villa in the future. A thank you from me for all you have done!

Thank you Mat Kendrick for having the time to interview Mick Dale on this podcast, that I have been following for years. I have been on a tour around at Villa Park once, with the Norway Lions a few years back. I had the pleasure of having Mick Dale as our tour guide. He was brilliant, with a lot of humour and lots of good small stories about Villa Park, players, people inside the club and so on. We spoke for a little while a few times, and he came across as a very kind and humble man. Best regards, Tor Hadrian Løvstad

We stumbled across the 1874 bar via Pride Rewards & later became paid members for 2 seasons. Mick was an amazing host... When he learned my Son and I were going to Qatar 2022, he told everyone and later encouraged us to get our photos submitted for use in the match day program. Then, v Wolves we arrived at the bar for Mick to greet us excited and show us how we featured in the program and made sure we got about 6 extras (no cost) for the family Great guy. Last saw him and Burnley Away. Shook our hands and said hello

It’s great to hear Mick talk about the Villa. I have nothing but amazing memories of taking my two young sons to games and meeting up with Mick when they were lucky enough to get on the pitch at half time or before the game. I still say hello to him at VP today. Mick was a big part in those great early memories. Cheers Mick!! UTV

Can’t believe Kendrick’s never heard of Tardebigge! Mick’s take on all things Villa is all the more special because he’s my generation and I’m glad he flagged up how we all used to go to the local grounds if you weren’t watching Villa reserves on away matches. We just did it for the love of our football. On social media now, that’s akin to heresy and it’s a pity because we’ve lost some of that rounded richness of our past. Lovely stories about Gary Shaw, too. A really wonderful watch, this was. Thanks so much, Mat and Mick ❤️❤️ UTV

I love this channel because the balance of content is so varied , top interviews in a nice warm environment apart from the big black curtain it needs something Villa inspired. I like the fact that it’s not over produced. Matt is such a funny guy. My favourite thing is when Dan trying to have a serious chat with Mr Townley and his internet foibles. Keep it up guys

Like Mick, I thought it was relatively common in the 70’s to go and see Villa one week Blues the next and sometimes Albion. Remember Villa were in division 3. It was cheap and the only way to see football as it was so rarely on TV. It would be great to have a video on divided loyalties within families Villa/Blues or Villa/Albion. Remember rivalry is not all about hostility as the “MOM” song suggests.

We had a tour guide a few months ago and apart from a few bits about the older days pre 60s I knew nearly as much, I would love to be a guide and show people around as Im very outgoing and chatty, my auntys next door neighbour for 50 years was Jack watts and he was always giving me stories back in the day. ❤️
