In my opinion the super speed shots in slow motion really left a mark on me since the first time I saw it in this show. It was something amazing for that times when the show was released specially more in a TV show with quite less budget than a film... we had never seen before that special effects for Superman and was something cutting edge. And I would never forget that feeling when I first saw it

He was the smartest character on the show, but they kept changing just how smart all the characters were, so he got left behind. Comics Lex is a scientist that engineers a lot of the technology he has. This Lex was meant to be more realistic and he didn't make that jump. They did jump the shark with Chloe going from good investigator to being the world's greatest hacker though.

Tom welling and a lot of people always say he was playing clark kent and not superman and i always felt he was playing clark kent but with superman's abilities and if you run faster then a speeding bullet use heat vision ice breath to make it snow defeat zod jump high enough to leap buildings in a single bound hear someone crying for help from a city away and see through any wall (that isnt led) and get sick from green kryptonite lose inhibitions with red lose powers with gold go insane from silver have a split from who you are entirely with black and can sneeze a barn door off its hinges and fly across smallville then i ask you are you really playing clark kent or are you still just superman who hasnt learned to fly yet and put on the superman suit??? There was this really _unique_ Super speed sequence, in which we (the audience) zoomed out from Clark in metropolis, saw a shot of the earth, then just saw this *red and gold streak* running across-continent; next zoom in, Clark is somewhere in South America. I've been looking for that, because to move THAT FAR, even without flying, Clark was EASILY hitting light speed or just below. Can you please upload it?

Considering Clark's superspeed should logically burn up his clothes, and I've heard that fans have said they want the superspeed blur Clark has to be maintained as normal, as opposed to done for the audience's viewpoint to allow them to gage Clark's superspeed adequately, as the blur effect just looks very cool, I think it is possibly worth saying that the blur effect seen is a superspeed aura which protects Clark and whoever or whatever he's holding from burning up. With Flash, both in the comics and the TV show, it can be said that The Speed Force has an aura which protects in the same way. With The Flash TV show, it would have to be said it does this to a strong degree, but not completely, as Barry's clothes have been shown to burn up when he runs in them, only on certain occasions though, and it certainly hasn't been anything shown to be strongly scientifically concrete. *Edit:* The ability for Clark to show up and leave populated places is taken away, if the blur effect is kept - I think I have a way to rectify the problem - The blur effect reacts to Clark's psychology, not revealing itself to conceal his identity, but showing itself naturally when a person knows he has powers, as there's no need to hide it anymore and it might as well be shown, so that an ally can fully gage and understand how Clark's powers work. Clark and his parents will realise this when assessing the situation.

Yo pensaba igual que tú al principio, hasta que me di cuenta que ese efecto de mancha cuando Clark va a super velocidad no es un efecto visible literalmente, es un efecto que nos indica a nosotros como espectador que Clark se movió a super velocidad. En ciertas ocasiones pero más al principio de la serie quizá por falta de pulir los efectos especiales llegaron a hacer que Clark se moviera pero sin ponerle el efecto de mancha y la verdad se ve cutre y todo mal hecho así que si o si ese efecto debe ser visible para que quede mejor.. Pero la verdad es que clark no se ve cuando se mueve y esto queda perfectamente plasmado cuando en cierto momento de la serie donde estaban Clark, Chloe y unos policías investigando una camioneta abandonada, Clark y Chloe estaban buscando cierto gps (creo que era) y Clark uso la visión de rayos X y detectó el dispositivo y delante de los ojos de Chloe ésta hablando con el Clark se movió a super velocidad hacia la camioneta (delante de los policías también) y tomo el dispositivo y se colocó nuevamente en frente de Chloe y siguió hablando con ella y en su reacción posterior a esto y las líneas verbales que usaron dan a entender que sus ojos jamás captaron que Clark se movió de enfrente de ella. Ella le dice algo como referente a si podrían conseguir ese dispositivo sería más fácil saber que pasó y Clark le dice que ya lo tiene y ésta se sorprende y le dice como "Espera, fuiste a buscarlo?" Totalmente sorprendida y Clark le responde que si.
