Due to the amount of strength required this doesn't match the effort put into his other feats of strength. If you could do that then,assuming all of Superman's powers together, there's nothing known to humanity that you couldn't go through like it's not there nor anything you could grip and not toss like it weighs nothing.

I've said before that I think Clark should say he doesn't like knocking people out with a tap from his hand, as he's greatly concerned about the brain damage it could cause them. However, I think this isn't strong enough an explanation to not use this ability in battle, I think he should just never do this.
