Its true. However reading different 20 books in one category, for example self help. You will find ideas repeating themselves, but just explained though a different lense. This has its merits for sure

Also the idea that I disagree with the most. The marginal benefit you get out of reading the book the 2nd time is unlikely more than the benefit of reading another book.

I used this book to effectively cure my anxiety. For about a year I had pretty bad anxiety and would often have weeks of panic attacks almost every month. After reading this book, which was about a year and 7 months ago, I haven't had a panic attack since. I'm back just because I was curious if anyone had any similar results and I'm not surprised to find people have done similar things. Good luck to anyone reading this book, I couldn't recommend it enough 👍

Yeah i can relate but not this book instead You are the Placebo is what i listened to on audio for 9 hours and as the 'penny dropped' the Anxiety lessened each time, and im sorry for oversharing but the constant loose poops i had for like over a year went back to normal. I always thought i have such a simple diet why is this happening? But now i know and i thought it might help someone so thought to share! I see myself having refreshed sleep so that's what il be visualising and meditating on but i feel great already at least now my body will be absorbing and utilising nutrients properly..il get there, hope you all do too xx

Dr. Joe’s teachings have had a very positive effect on my anxiety. I had constant anxiety from complex trauma, and now my life is much calmer and more peaceful. Clark you got it. Be happy and end up thinking happy. It is really that simple. After 20 years of depression my mentor told me this with some pictures and I gave it a try. I'm still blown away of how simple it is and sometimes doubt creeps in if this is maybe just on the surface e or fake, maybe I'm in the matrix. But I brush that aside and enjoy the moment. It's crazy but it works.

Your content and mission is SO important. Just as you say, never settle! We, as humans, can ALWAYS do better. Nobody knows everything in this world, we should be open for knowledge & willing to learn at all times. Everything you post, literally just resonates with me, deeply, in the best way possible! You always disclose, "I'm not some doctor, guru, neuro scientist or genius but you could be! You are brilliant. You ARE a genius! In my opinion, you have _THE MOST_ important content on KZbin. You provide *free* content, allowing people to better themselves, on a daily basis! If you haven't, you should write a book compiling your wisdom & knowledge. It would sell like crazy, I'm sure of it. People are always looking to find new books, in this genre. Anything, pertaining to reading "self help" books, to better themselves. I would buy it for sure! I love you & the content that you produce! Love your "geek out" sessions too! 😂 I'm so thankful for your existence! 💗

Great post... Double slit experiment is more weird than what you mentioned... The exact way it actually works is (using your metaphor)... 1. When you throw the book, it consistently goes through both the doors always (acting like energy) 2. When you keenly just look at the path that the book is taking (presence of an observer), the book goes only through one door only. (Acting as a particle) 3. When you stand at the other side of the door that the book doesn't know you are observing it "when" it goes through the door, it still uses only one door (Breakage of time)

How long is the meditation? He has a Morning & Evening one where each is about 20 minutes long. Maybe start with a shorter one and build your way up? I've also heard other folks who meditate say they sit up or make themselves slightly uncomfortable so they stay awake during the meditations. Ooh, or mentally rehearse staying awake for a whole meditation and see if you can mentally train to stay awake? Or perhaps change up the meditations if you've been doing the same one? You're not alone! A lot of people experience the challenge of falling asleep during meditation, but you'll get there and will be able to stay awake!
