@@docsworld9707 The reason you dont see many is because most people don't waste their time on these machines.. Mig welder is not something to penny pinch on if you building a vehicle etc.. I watched your welding and its exactly as i thought.. inconsistent welding power and poor wire feed ability.. Its not you that is letting those welds down.. its the machine buddy.. Please please do your self a favour and get a quality mig.. the difference is night and day.. I find it so heartbreaking when ive had friends of mine get down because of their welds failing etc intill they tell me what machine they where using.. i let them try out my esab and they literally thought they where in a real lifegameshow..

@@Migman2020 thanks for the comments I do understand your concern but I can only go with the tools I can afford at the time. I'm sure with a little patience I can improve on the welds.

I found the blue older 150 TE turbos to be far superior to the newer models. I rate clarke welders highly for ease of use

The torch looks a bit rough round the edges for something that's only been used once by it's original owner.

Need to increase the wire speed, this also increases the current😎

Using mig, using the gun upwards on the plate and in any scenario you will come across a much better weld due to the wire is pushing in front not getting dragged

There isn't going to be a setting that will work for all. It depends on many factors, first thing is first, get your welder setup, get the spool running nicely (switch off gas to save it) it should flow perfectly smoothly at all feed rates and not in leaps and bounds. To start out set your feed to about midway and go for power setting 2 MIN. Now - get some scrap steel, it can be any steel you can safely weld, you don't even need two pieces, an old steel wheel or a bit of fence or anything will do. Now clean it, the number of issues you will have if you are trying to weld dirty steel you may as well not even bother trying. A flap disc on a grinder is ideal, say 80 grit or 120 grit, take off the rust or paint. Do the same for the earth clamp location. Now gas on about 1/2 to 3/4, glove and mask up and strike up your arc, if the arc sounds like it is starting and stopping then increase wire feed by half an increment and try that again, if it feels like the wire is hitting the piece then turn it down. Once you have it flowing nicely and holding a nice arc you can then practice running a line of weld. Now say you want to weld thin material, you might want 1 MIN - but less current will also require a feed rate tweak down. 2 MAX is really only needed for heavier material, I'd not even think about 2 MAX on anything less than 3mm steel, even then you will burn through it if you are not careful and it is excessive, really you are talking 5mm steel for 2 MAX. To check for a good weld you want to see discolouration along the weld on the back of the steel, if there is no mark then you don't have penetration and your weld is only just stuck to the surface and may even knock off with a hammer. I find a sort of darkened, blue mark indicates good penetration. Too much penetration marks is bad too and will warp your material. It will take time and don't despair, you'll get it.

Try any of the heat settings and just increase or decrease wire speed till you get that frying bacon sound, check you have correct terminal polarity, a wire length of about 10mm ,and with shielded welding some say its better to push into the weld but with fluxcore drag away fro the weld, the puddle will indicate if you are going to quick or slow
