I never really thought of it as the world stopped at certain points when you move faster than someone else. I love the way the situation is accentuated when the announcer says, "It's another great move by Clark Kent" and the announcer unknowingly sums up the various moves Clark Kent made to save Chloe. Even though Clark Kent does not romantically love Chloe and there have been times in other episodes where Clark is even harsh with Chloe because she is too invasive and hitting too close to home ie : Stockpiling kryptonite to stop Kryptonians, asking how Martha is doing in the hospital and Clark responds, "What is this an interrogation?", Chloe telling Clark others will find him when he disappeared when he was wearing the red kryptonite ring, and Clark gets in Chloe's face screaming at her to get out, Clark breaking into Chloe's computer to read what Chloe knows about Clark's adoption, Clark loves Chloe so much as a friend that he always drops everything he is doing to save Chloe's life. They have each other's back.

I'm surprised how many times they can be tossed around at considerable speeds against walls and they just wake up after with a mild head hache or amnesia, it's really funny considering that they are normal humans and they recover from that without any repercussions. That's truly super human.
