@@Bucketdrummer it's vaguely alluded to that yes, they do need to be trained to use their incredible strength. The problem isn't just one of raw force, but in how that force is applied. Kryptonians in this series have a vague kind of gravity based power, which is what allows them to fly, it's also what allows them to be so much stronger than they should be. Control of this power comes naturally, but not quickly, and it takes effort to use it intentionally.

@terrarecon
@terrarecon 6 ай бұрын
@@sebastienseb919 Hmm, use your brain you say? First, let's clear something up. Nowhere in my OP did I even remotely suggest that the children should be left alone without adult supervision of any sort. Clark's teacher and his mother were all that were needed. His teacher could have called another qualified adult to attend her class while she dealt with this. All those kids swarming around him, whom he was trying to get away from, to quiet the noise and have peace, was a good idea, huh? Clearly, Clark had a problem, and the teacher was basically making it worse rather than helping him with her bad choice. Super hearing and vision or not, something is not normal, so just let's have the whole class push Clark into a corner and subject him to goofy, non-understanding mob kid behavior. It was still a poor decision, as I originally stated. If you are unclear, ask for clarity without false assumptions and then end your response with a condescending, snarky quip like you have it all figured out. Practice what you preach if you are going to suggest people use their brains.

There is absolutely golden cinematography right here: a) One of the crew "saves" Clark from dying by pushing he back. (Yeah, Clark saw he coming and decided to fall over. If Clark would have just stood still, and not moved an inch like Superman would have, that sailor tried to rescue him would be dead or seriously injured.) b) Clarks smirk, when the sailor rescued him risking his life. Its a small but powerful moment when Clark realized humans are worth to save, after all his doubts.

If you are thinking of your father, and feel that feeling, he's probably there with you watching it along with you, and watching over you at the same time. My dad was born in 1931 and was a fan of Superman since he was a kid. He seemed sure he had the 1st issue of the Superman comic books (which I believe started in 1938?), but my grandma threw all his comics out one day. I told him, "Not to depress you Dad, but that first issue had sold (back at that time we were talking about it, 80s to 90s?) for $33,000!" I'm not sure if he groaned or not. ;)

The Donner Cut was subsequently released and was Donner's original vision, which first showcases Superman going up against General Zod and his comrades after they broke out of the Phantom Zone. Zack Snyder's Man of Steel is largely based on Donner's cut with the story with General Zod. The Donner Cut is an all time classic with some of, if not, the best superhero action put to film in that era.

So sucks that Cavill will not be Superman again. Despite bad writing, he is far better in the role than anyone else. No one is even close. Ditto Affleck as Batman.

The coolest thing about that tackle scene? Supes used his telepathic powers to control the screenwriters into making it look like he could be pushed. That's how dedicated he was to looking like a normal human.

This movie so elegantly shows the two sides of Clark Kent/Superman As Superman (Cape or not) a being so powerful and indestructible only his own doubts can slow him down or harm hin As Clark Kent he's coping with just being a normal, hurtable being, raised by good people to be a moralistic being The first moment he doffs the glasses is quite similar to the old superman movies where everyone knows he is Superman, yet anyone on screen won't recognize him beccause godlike beings don't need glasses

I’ve watched this clip numerous times and have loved it. Note : when he jumps to slow the beam from collapsing, his toes should have made impression marks on the I beam he was standing on. And, the place he grips the door before pulling it off it’s hinges, should’ve looked different. I realize it’s a small detail. Just saying. As a child, him grabbing any door knob, he would’ve had to grasp it with the greatest of care, as he had the strength to easily tear it completely out of the door. Him hugging his mom - he could crush her without even a thought.
