When I first watched this I was confused why her being ok with it didn’t make him tell her But it has a lot to do with how his parents were strict about secret/his fear about him not being human /him coming with meteors that killed her parents. He blames himself for something not his fault or control. She wouldn’t blame him but it’s scary I’m sure his mind especially with his parents for 16 yrs saying keep it secret Lana is right here She’s not nagging him she wants him to be honest bc it doesn’t matter to her She loves him period

Remember that episode where Jor El came to Earth as a teen. Lana and Clark if I remember right made that journey through the past together. They were researching Lana's family history.

Was actually a well produced "Superboy" type series. Usually the efforts fall on their faces or they go too far (recent Lois & Clark...veering away from the essence of Superman and that wowrld). I think they got evertthing as right as they could here. A shame it had to end as all good TV series eventually do. Casting choices worked too. Especially Tom Welling. He had that "good guy do no wrong" aspect about him. Just as Christopher Reeves did.

Smallville is about young Clark Kent growing up smallville so how is he second best Superman when the show isn’t even about him?

Not to quote Aladdin, but clark needs to *TELL HER THE TRUTH!!* Always hated how Clark was written as a pathological liar in Smallville. Actually would have *_still_* been a good show if all his closest friends knew his secret and everyone who knew helped protect him from being exploited by other people, so he could be the hero and they knew they helped him do all that cool heroic stuff.

Seeing this scene makes me even more angry with Clark for not telling her his Secret he knew right then and there she was going to accept and love him regardless if he was a mutant, metahuman or alien because of his insecurity his fear and his doubts about himself and his alien heritage he continued to keep the truth from her which constantly hurt her and led to her mistreating him on multiple occasions throughout the seasons to the point where they don't end up together at all and that was the saddest thing ever in season 8 just when they are finally able to be together but because of Lex marinating Lana with Kryptonite radiation Clark was not able to go anywhere near her leading to one of the most heart-wrenching breakups ever in TV history!
@vmaninc.7616 жыл бұрын
@@colincormier5017 I understand where you're coming from and I totally respect and agree with it but it did have everything to do with his doubts his fears and his insecurities and his trust issues, he said it himself that he never understood why he was always afraid to tell her the truth about himself when she did find out his secret; it didn't strictly have anything to do with keeping her safe from his enemies for his loved ones were still endangered even when they didn't know about his secret no matter what he did or what he tried to do he could never Escape the danger that was constantly pose to his loved ones so that left only one logical outcome for him to take and that is to do a Tony Stark and reveal himself to his loved ones, he took a chance with Pete and it went pretty well yes the burden of his secret became too much for Pete but still he showed himself to be a true and loyal friend and the same could have came from Lana and I will go so far as to say that he should have took a chance with Lex for if he had just giving him the benefit of the doubt and told him the truth about himself and stuck with him he wouldn't have fallen off the deep end the way he did; lex may have been obsessive and Reckless in his Pursuit for the truth but all he wanted was to understand his surroundings and most importantly understand his best friend and closest brother for he really was trying to be a better man than his father; I feel if he had just taking a Leap of Faith with both Lex and Lana the results would have been very different and and we would have seen him being married to Lana instead of Lois in his future and Lex would have been his greatest Ally instead of his worst enemy!

@@Treychik I've seen the Smallville season 11 comic I read how she lost the Kryptonite radiation and it was just so disappointing to see because that could have been exactly what was done in the show which would have made it possible for him and Lana to be together in my opinion they would have done better to just kill her off!
